Ren - We were discussing right when Imlie and Agastya had that you hurt me fight. It was when Imlie tells the family about Karan and Bulbul and Bulbul denies it and everyone gets to know that Bulbul is pregnant. The whole family blames Imlie that she is trying to push someone else's child on Karan's name and Imlie steadyfast says that she has seen Karan and Bulbul talk in the angan in the night. That is when Agastya in the night tells Imlie - I want to know what is the truth and tell me as I am listening. And Imlie tumne hamara barosa hi kab kiya. That intensity was something different. I will update the post later with the exact date and number.
I swear it was something else during that scene! Something about the dialogues and the way they paired it with the BGM, it was angsty and intense in the most perfect way. Both Sai and Adrija modulated their voices with so much pain, the tension in the air was something else.
Another similar scene from that track is the one where Imlie asked Agastya if Bulbul could come over after the masked killer sacked the jhopdi. At his refusal, she decided she was gonna go if Bulbul couldn’t come to the Chaudhary mansion, because no matter what she wasn’t leaving her alone. Agastya basically pleads her to stay and says how he knows this is a drama and that she’s doing all of this to force him to bring Bulbul here so she can trap Karan. That he knows she doesn’t actually intend to leave and that it’s all fake. He tries to hold her back one last time by her bag handle and tells her to please not go and she says “Tumse dhoor toh hum kab se jha chuke Babu” which makes Agastya drops his hand. The BGM was built up and utilized so wonderfully in that scene. Absolute chills, it was a different era.
