Earlier, I was thinking on the same lines too - when I saw all of Ayra's childish attempts, I manifested MJ taking revenge from Asif, how she'd do that . Because, neither Zaid nor Ayar is a match to Asif's ruthlessness. MJ has that single-mindedness to defeat Asif if necessary - I am truly in the belief that Zaid can't actually hurt his father in any grand way. But MJ turning against Asif needs some solid backing, would they have time to build that?

When will we escape such regressive story telling 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

I want this so much but at the same time I NEED zaid to have his moment to shine too. HE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING 😭😭😭

Apart from feeling guilty and being in guilt, the Achilles heel of Zaid's character is being in the shadow of his father - not getting recognised and accepted for what he is rather than known as Asif Khan's son - I am not sure if it is obvious, but I felt he has a slight inferiority complex on this regard.

The first time he left 'sab kuch' and went to Ayra's house, the seed was planted by Kashmala - it was not coming from him initially. And through out his journey to Ayra's house, he was thinking about what Aamir said about him being someone who is dependent on his father's money, not a self-made man - seemed to me Aamir unknowingly had hit the bull's eye. That is why I think that his gesture of 'leaving his house, family and all relationships' at that point was more to satisfy his ego - to prove what Aamir said was wrong - than for his love. It was his 'mein' coming to forefront.

The second time he left - did he really leave? This 'leaving' was very confusing - he first left, Asif was sure that this time his son won't come back, then Asif and MJ went to bring him back, he denied them - then next day he came back demanding he want to marry Ayra. As he said there, he was 'not blackmailing' his father, rather requesting! If he really left what is the need of all that. Then, before he left, Asif disowned him - saying all that about everything he had was because of his father. He was hurt and disappointed after hearing it from horse's mouth - his ego was badly hurt, and the things he did afterward were because he was sour! If I remembered correctly, he was recalling his father's dialogues couple of times. Yes, in the middle of this, he stood by Ayra, but his 'leaving behind everything' seems to me more for selfish reasons - for his ego, than grand gestures of love! Just my point

Zaid accepts his position most of the time and doesn’t always challenge his dad unless he thinks his father has really messed up. Right now, I think he believes that he got what he wanted (Ayra) and she isn’t exactly behaving herself. This is “weakening” his position so he isn’t challenging his father as much.

God knows...even pak dramas are quite regressive nowadays

I try to watch shows of those actors whom I like and if im impressed with the concept..baaki I don't keep a track about what's happening in other shows😅

After mein I would be only watching sun mere dil as im super excited to see the wahaj and maya In a full fledged drama

Imagine if Ayra was played by a better or more popular actress, the reception of the show would have been something else. Did they intentionally cast Azekah so that Ayeza doesn’t have any competition or get overshadowed ?

I toh wanted ramsha to play ayras character...atleast she has good chemistry with wahaj and is a well known face and better actor than azekah

I'm damn sure if a good actress was casted as ayra people would have surely rooted for zaid and ayra and would have defended ayras character arc..

So maybe for strategic purpose they casted her, and also because she is a part of the ph camp..

Ayra is responsible for bringing Zaid back to Asif but Zaid and MJ's marriage and polygamy is their doing

Again, apart from it being the writer's lazy attempt to bring Ayra, Zaid, MJ (and definitely Asif too!) under the same roof, without being biased to any character, the polygamy situation is the fault of all the three of them - Zaid, MJ and Ayra, all three of them are responsible for the soup that they are currently in (and we all are currently simmering within!).

I will start with MJ - she was afraid of the social stigma of being a second time divorcee and being proved Mohib right on the comment that she'll be divorced 100 times (I also think there is another reason, but I'll keep it aside for the time being!), so she was ready to preserve her marriage any which way possible - even as to going into lengths of accepting a second wife in her husband's life. So, yes, the 'two-wives' situation definitely has her hand!

Then comes Ayra - she refused to marry Zaid when he said he'll divorce Mubashira, and was ready to move out of town. Then, she put forth the condition of family acceptance. Now, I first thought it was her way of trying to make it impossible, but her conversation with her bhabi indicated that was not the case. (The best revenge plot for Ayra was to let Zaid divorce Mubashira, take him out of his family and business, make him work for Asif's rival and let Asif rot - girl needs lessons on 'How to take revenge?' or writer needs a wake up call!!). Anyway, in all honesty, she may not have known that a 'second marriage' would have been served to her - her fault was agreeing to that. She went into it willingly - so, she is also responsible!

Now coming to the man of this triangle - from the beginning of their marriage, Zaid threatened Mubashira with a divorce and he also told Ayra that he will divorce MJ - but he left me wondering what he is waiting for, especially after Aamir's death (that 40 days condition)? And when he came to his father (the scene where Asif disowned him) and said he wanted to marry Ayra - his intention was clear, he wanted a second marriage, which again plants the doubt whether he really wanted to divorce MJ. Yes, he blackmailed Mubashira with what he knew mattered to her the most, though I was not sure that he actually believed that MJ will bend and compromise that much, but his hand in creating the 'polygamy' mess is definite!
