Btw, The Deshbhakt tag Akshay got was a sarcastic one given by the Sahrukh butthurt Khan’s PR when his movies were tanking while Akshay’s movies were doing well.

Akshay was and is a Deshbhakt star not because of the movie choices he made. His movies like Airlift, Gabbar is back, OMG and all other social message movies are actually GREAT and he’s not trolled because of that. It’s his Aam-interview with Modi and other suckass interviews is what made him trollworthy that he is today.

SRK is an out and out patriot. There’s no comparison that A is a bigger patriot than B. How’d we know ? There’s no parameter to measure and it’s funny if we try doing so. But SRK’s FIRST home production movie - Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani - carries a message way ahead of its time, a great movie even loved by many the then honest politicians. What can be the bigger proof than that ? Swades, Pardes, VZ, MHN, CDI, MNIK - there are umpteen movies which truly depicts of his love for his home country. Yes, in most of his ‘patriotic’ movies we see common men fighting the actual issues; not an imaginary 1st tier enemy called Pakistan. So they don’t get on your face.

Pathan and Jawan and even Dunki now are an extension of what he’s always been doing. Nothing net new.
