The makers ruined the ML in Gen3 and were heavily bashed for that. Unpopular opinion but I feel Abhimanyu redeemed himself by the end of it. He stood tall with Akshara when she was thrown out by Goenka's. He was ready to accept Abhinav's child as well because all that mattered to him was Akshara and Abhir's happiness. He even broke free from Manjiri and stood against his mother for the very first time. Abhimanyu never mistreated Abhinav. He held high regards for Abhinav and was grateful to him for raising Abhir so fine.

I don't think they will ruin Armaan. It will always be Ruhi trying to hold onto him while his eyes will only look for Abhira.
