The Pakistanis who don’t like movies made on these terrorist attacks, should go question their government and demand answers there instead of whining over a foreign movie. When was the last time a Pakistani questioned a URI or a Pulawama attack? Let alone the Kargil war or the other wars. Instead, they sit for hours on end justifying them or even denying that they ever happened.

Becoz their media shows them distorted facts and alternate reality.

No, I don't think, something is "well said" when it is a) generalizing and b) written from a one-sided political point of view.

I’m Pakistani and I’ll say Pakistan is at fault for everything . But why make a movie about it ? Is that helping anything other than lining someone’s pockets ?

Yeah, that they were the direct descendants of Mohammad and above and beyond the Indians while selling their country to the west and now to China?

Well, even the recent Top Gun movie had Russia as its enemy decades after the Cold War is over. And during the cold war we know the kind of movies made by Hollywood against Russia. What about the movies made against Cuba, Vietnam and even the Middle East? A war / army movie needs an enemy. Facts? Movies against China would be good but where do you get the Chinese actors from? The technicalities will become a bit more complicated.

There's a lot of whataboutism going on, but that's just a sign of the victims falling for the effects of propaganda movies. Emotions are running high. Yes, Pakistan isn't any better; if their cinema matched India's strength, they'd probably be churning out as many propaganda movies, if not more. But how's that relevant here? Both sides doing the same thing doesn't make it right. This is India Forums, so obviously, the discussion centers around Bollywood movies. You can't deny there's been a surge in patriotic movies lately. Sure, there were films like Gadar/Dil Pardesi Hogaya before, but not to the extent where there's a new jingoistic movie every other week. It's never been like this. If you deny that it has nothing to do with the current government, you're fooling yourself.

This I agree. Exploiting the issues to make money out of the vulnerabilities of the situation without any higher cause or value is what most moviemakers specialize at.
