Ayra working late is shown as something wrong, Mubashira forgetting herself and bending over backwards for Zaid is presented in positive light. Yes, Zaid seems so invested in their relationship. He bends backward for her. Let's her walk all over him but she doesn't care untill she needs him for something or if he doesn't come to their room to sleep. Though I didn't like Zaid till recently, I felt bad for him in this situation.

Also, yes, If Ayra was a good gf may be I would have shipped her (Can't be sure bcz of her thakela acting) but may be if it was played by a real good actor then may be. See no matter how much you say that characters will be liked if they are positive, I feel the person playing also plays a very imp role. You need to have that screen presence, you should be convincing. How the character is perceived largely depends on actor playing as well apart from how it's written/directed.

Dekho Asif is so convincing, I enjoy when he shuts her up. Unfortunately I can't say the same for Ayra

You summed it up. If Ayra would have even put half the effort Zaid did it, I could still support her. Today another thing...when Zaid told MJ main tumko kuch khilata hu, it reminded me of Ayra and Zaid's lunch date. We didn't get to see Zaid and MJ's but I am sure it went a hundred times more better than the one with Ayra

Yes the actors also matter. For example Kashmala also married a red flag and she knew he was a red flag but Sabeena isn't that bad an actor. Not the best, but she fits the role which is why I don't hate the character. Same goes for Rayaan. Azekah is just so thakela and frozen that I forward her bits.

@bold: Arey the First Look promo we had got. This one...isme see how Zaid looks at her and MJ is in her own world. Now it feels they were hinting towards the past with the outdoor sequence and when they show them in white its present day.

Anyone with half a brain would realize this. But she, against all advice, is not realizing it. Nobody is THAT stupid. But she’s being shown to be THAT stupid. And that’s hard to understand and find logic in. I wish the writing around her made more sense. Especially since there wasn’t an immediate trigger for her hostile behavior all of a sudden. She hasn’t even found out about the story of her getting fired yet. The writer could have used that as a motivation maybe. But instead we just have Ayra being petty for petty’s sake ! 🤦🏻‍♀️

omg so so true. I get why the show has people so polarized - because a lot of what Ayra did is admirable too. Her independence and self reliance outside of her relationship is something that’s good but they twisted it and turned it toxic. They took it to the extreme. Ayra’s sense of self worth could actually be the real foil for MJ, who lacks it. But instead MJ’s dependence on zaid and fear of divorce is glorified.

Definitely a lot of problematic themes which, as expected, weren’t dealt well. Ayra’s current downward spiral is proof of that lol. The least the drama could have done is kept both women sympathetic for the audience - but the writer didn’t even end up doing that. And all for what ? ZAID? I can get behind Ayra leaving him for revenge MUCH more than I can tolerate MJ bending over backwards to “win” him. Girl, love yourself please. For once.

That is sort of true in most Pak shows, but I think Ayra's problem when she came in late was - she did'nt even bother to call her husband. I think even a wife would get angry if a husband came in late and didn't bother to call or message about their whereabouts.

She told Zaid that she'll be late and it was one night but she was punished for it by Zaid, he visited Mubashira's room, both are childish characters. Asif and Mubashira are players.

Ayra isn’t petty. Let's rewind to the day she said "yes" to this whole marriage thing. Did that scene scream normal in any way? She was in it for payback after her brother's death. Sure, there were moments when her love for Zaid resurfaces but the hate she carries for his family is on another level. It's like a messy mix of emotions playing out in their relationship.The deep-seated hate she has for his family kind of overshadows her love for him.
