He even had a heart to heart with his mom when things were going further south in his life. This helped the audience get clarity on his point of view. We don’t have the same with Zaid. Personally I found the scenes effective especially the ones of him being a silent observer. Also I like his reactions in response to what his dad says. Now though, I feel we’re ready to hear things from his perspective. Some lines would help!

Absolutely. I guess we are getting restless to get Zaid's side. He gave his perspective only with the initial episodes with the friend or with Kash briefly. It's been quite sometime.

Yes he stood up to his dad especially when he moved out. It seems like he’s just back listening to whatever but to be honest I feel like Ayra has put him this position. After his dad disowned and he left the house, it was his dad that came to him. Zaid thinks that his dad is the one who compromised and Zaid got what he wanted (Ayra). According to Zaid, Asif is the one who folded first. Ayra is making things more challenging for him in the house mostly because Zaid himself doesn’t agree with what she is doing. Didn’t he say, no matter what she is like, she’s my wife (I think I’m translating)? He knows she’s at fault at the moment but is trying desperately to still keep her respect within the family.

May be Wahaj wanted to work with Ayeza. She is one of the biggest names in Pak tv industry and despite criticism, this show has been getting decent trps. You do not need critical acclaim all the time.

Yeah I don’t see her going back. That’s why that bts of an upcoming scene surprised me. I still think it’s a deleted scene or a flashback.

MJ has been silent for long enough. I expect her to erupt soon. Even in the last episode in Turkey, she almost lost her cool.

Ofcourse I agree that he can't always do Alpha/Murtasim type character no matter how much I like that. He is such a nice actor,.he has a good range. He is so good at action recreations, micro expressions (like you said), rapid change of his posture and expressions. I think he is doing good as Zaid. It's just Zaid in itself is such a laid-back and lazy character that not everyone is going to like it. He is doing justice in whatever way he could. But yes, he should really be stern now. Can't be too good now

Every other person he has worked with said how focused he is and how overprepared too. How he overthinks it. FQ had talked about how serious and focused Wahaj was when getting into Hamza's cktr before shooting Fitoor scenes. Hiba said how Wahaj is the kind of guy who asks his co-actors to do reherasals prior. The actress who played his sister in MPHT and Hira who played his sister in TB said how much Wahaj helped them in setting up their scenes right down to the tiniest movements. Sohail Samir (Anwar chachu) said Wahaj overthinks scenes too much. When Tere Bin came, we heard how overprepared he was for Murtasim's role. Even in MPHT, he was the only one who did any acting and understood his cktr. He was playing Murtasim at the same time but there was nothing of Murtasim in how Saad was played. Saad was also not same as how Wahaj himself is. Now I am supposed to believe that an actor who performed a character with their own body language, way of crying, talking, smiling and interacting (distinct from his other cktr and his own real self) is not serious.

Maybe what Hania meant was that he doesn't memorize lines but improvises them as he does the scene based on the cktr emotions at the time. Because based on what I have heard other actors say about Wahaj in their past ivs, I do not buy this brand new narrative about his lack of seriousness and commitment to his craft. His unprofessionalism. This new narrative has begun to only emerge in last few months. Before that no one ever said any of these things about him. And now neutrals like you are parroting that same narrative.

I agree with you but in no way do I believe that he must be unprofessional or not serious. About Hania, I don't think it meant that he isn't serious about work. I meant like she said, he must not really pay much attention to the script like you said dialogues like you do it the text book way. I have watched Hira's iv as well..how she said he thinks alot and did that hug after he rescues her.

But it does look like he is genuinely a nice person who can do shows just because he likes the maker (you know what I mean?)

I mean didn't really like Zaid's character but Wahaj is so good in playing him. Honestly I don't know if I am really a neutral or inclined towards him. But I had started watching fitoor and had started liking him just from his first scene. I watched till she marries & then could not continue. Only thing I liked in that show was Wahaj. Then when I saw my sis watch TB & saw posts and reels on him, that's what made me watch TB. Loved his portrayal of MK totally. Hard-work was clearly visible. MPHT I didn't really watch regularly bcz it was too boring for me but he was so good as Saad (again I know sadly such characters don't create hype bcz they are quite dull). I watched Dil awaiz or something of that title with Neelam Muneer as bhoot. He was good in that too. Then there was one more show with Imad Irfani & that Sara from HumSafar. He was good in that as well. Very funny..

I agree with you about this new narrative against him though. When he was doing TB, they were all praising him to no extent but as soon as TB ended, slowly this buildup of negativity against him started. Believe me, I don't at all believe all those things..

That's what I mean. Yes, ofcourse he is not bad as Asif. He is a nice man with a moral compass. But but, I think he is capable of manipulation as well like he did with MJ with divorce. Yes, may be if it's extreme, he wouldn't support the wrongdoings but he did forgive Asif (If not forgive, made peace with it). He is living with him. What any person with a moral compass would do in such situation, just leave Asif. He already had a nice job. He just had to divorce MJ and moved no matter what Ayra said. But he is back with his dad and now can't really say anything and takes most of what Asif tells..

So my point, if he really likes/loves someone he will just be okay with them. Wahan moral compass to some extent side me rakh deta hai 😂

Did you watch Wahaj & Mehwish's part in Teri meri kahaniya? I just watched it. First time watched Mehwish. She quite good & has a natural acting style. I liked it. Simple story but nice. Wahaj asusual is so good. Seriously he brings out nuances & plays every role differently. Zahid was good. I don't know why he isn't doing good shows anymore. I really liked Zahid always. But tell me, I didn't really understand it's ending. What was Wahaj's case? What did he mean when he tells his wife that tumhare 123rd aadmi se darya? Was he also a cheater or that he believed that if he divorces her, there's no shortage of men for her? But for him there is shortage of women

Zaid is no pure hero. Infact every character of this show is flawed. Remember, he also got involved with other women while being married to Mubashira. If he really falls in love with MJ, I don’t think care abt what she did.

Yes I recently watched his film..I think two weeks ago..

Frankly mujhe toh kuch samjh hi nahi aaya kya story tha..I guess too much deep meaning dialogues were written and maybe mostly urdu words were used toh mujhe itna kuch samjha nhi😅

But ha itna samjha ki zahid ka charcter accepted that he cheated on her multiple times and he realised that he was wrong so now onwards he'd be faithful..wahaj ka story se mujhe itna samjha ki maybe he was also a flirt and wasn't that faithful to wife so after listening to mehwish he also realises his mistake and goes back to his wife..
