Bollywood may be known for its fascination for the 'good girl' image when it comes to on-screen roles for the A-graders. However, this has never made them an exception to having a sexy public image. Whether its Kareena, Priyanka, Rani, Aishwarya or Preity, all the leading ladies confide to a 'sexy' image among their fans. And while there have been a few exceptions to this phenomenon, off-late our 'sweet' girls next door have transformed themselves into hot bombshells, the latest actress to have jumped on the bandwagon being none other than the aesthetically appealing Soha Ali Khan.
The 'Rang De Basanti' girl, Bollywood saw Soha Ali Khan carrying forward the Nawabi legacy with her choice of roles. A sense of art and class attached to her on-screen and off-screen persona, Soha was refreshingly sophisticated and yet sweet and sensitive. Beyond the newcomer who had inherited her mother's famed dimpled smile, Soha come across as an actress who clearly knew what kind of roles she wanted to portray. However, the fact that post-RDB none of her films really worked at the box-office including the period flick 'Khoya Khoya Chand' has made Soha opt for the conventional success route. The actress has just posed for Maxim's cover in what can be called a shocker. Dressed in a black corset and basic bottoms, Soha's at her sexiest best.
Think a Bollywood actress who's off-screen and on-screen image are inseparable, Amrita Rao's a name you cannot miss. The sweetest PYT that happened to Hindi films, Amrita and Shahid Kapoor have been B-town's cutest on-screen couple not once but twice with 'Ishq Vishq' and 'Vivaah'. Yet another actress who exchanged her sweet girl-next-door image for a hotter avatar is Mumbai's very own Ayesha Takia. However, this one did not really need a film to transform her from the bubblegum girl to Bollywood's version of Britney Spears. Over the years, Ms. Takia who makes sure that her mommy accompanies her on every shoot realized that her not-so-bold image may soon fade from public memory. And to ensure that she continues to be the favourite pin-up girl for every young B-town goer, Ayesha has shed all that baby fat and now comes across as the ultimate innocent yet inviting bombshell with accentuated curves.
And just when you thought the sweet to sexy makeovers are restricted to the young babes, even the very gorgeous and a 'out-and-out Indian face' - Vidya Balan – could not reject the idea of mesmerizing her fans with a bold western appeal opposed to the classy 'Parineeta' and 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' avatar on the 70mm. However, this one did not turn out as expected and her makeover in Hey Babyy became the biggest joke at every awards night. But that has not really deterred the actress with a heart-warming smile from going ahead and experimenting with her new found image of a bold 'hottie'. In fact, though it may have not gone down well with the audiences, according to the grapevine, it has definitely helped her carve a special place in Shahid Kapoor's heart (who was once smitten by style diva Bebo).
