Ishika - wonder where she will be taken. Dont know how what she did will affect her around the Ahujas. Ideally she should be out, but can also make her closer to Babita. Jayesh is likely to turn around too - since she is keen on having the flat and will object to the deal with Bhavani.
btw loved Ammu's last dialogue for her ~ "aapke nautanki ka time khatam hua hai". [dont like the aap, esp since she is in Mumbai... might as well have been 'tera']
About the divorcee / widow / widower thing, get the impression that if such a detail was for Amruta, it would have been a good addition for the character. [wont want a kid though.]
For Virat it feels a bit too much - like one of my first impressions were 'bache ke saath kya kya hua hai?' [may be wrong perception.]
Hmm... the last thing that Ammu said to Virat - about moving on with courage - though it was meant for Nimrit, is something Virat will have to learn too.
Making him a divorcee also creates another problem - leads to that 'gold-digger' theme... 'she got married to him because of the money, divorcee hai to kya hua'. well.. even without that it would've happened. this adds to it.
As expected Virat is a divorcee.
Now that Babita has huge role in ruining Nimrit's future for her false prestige & image consciousness, playing victim card of being (inferior) girl's mother, 
her role in Virat's marriage & divorce might be huge..
so his ex may not be fully at fault..
Reason Ahuja's shifted to Mumbai can be their family image got dented in Delhi circles after Virat's relationship broke.
From begining after hearing his bitter statements of past experience that girls are gold diggers they are after rich boys,
it appeared some greedy young lady married Virat few years back with some FAKE claims, later duped him for a much richer man or asked huge amount of share as alimony to divorce him legally.
Or slim chances it can be that Babita asked Virat's fiancee to sign pre-nuptial contract? which says 'lady won't get Ahuja's property or business share after her marriage to Virat', which might have made that lady back-off giving an impression she was indeed marrying Virat for his wealth?
Not really surprising for me. I was expecting Rajiv to be the one who breaks the marriage, due to something that Amruta does, not really exposing him. And yet again, Amruta is blamed for the alliance breaking. But Nimrit eloping was always at the back of my mind. She unfortunately is the victim of her own mother, naani, and maami who always talked about her faults and deficiencies than her strengths. I know that's why I said I would feel bad for her (previously) but was not expecting her to do this. Kudos to the makers, this came as a surprise.
Her incessant harping on Nimrit’s 5 failed alliances, and her dabey rang, her advice on not arguing with Rajiv, all sealed Nimrit’s fate. 
Ishika will be still there in the bg somewhere. Even if the other Ahuja members don't like her, Babita will support her and still call her to the Ahuja house. Jayesh also will be there.. and even Bhawani.. I don't think they will completely remove these characters. (can't afford to, viewers won't like to see Ahujas and Amvira all the time). the FLs will always be respectful no matter what the antagonists do.. What do you mean by esp since she is in Mumbai?! Everybody normally is respectful, unless there is some fight.. or argument, then the ‘tera, mera’ pops up.
