so as expected till Lohri, its kind of filler episodes..

But one small solace, usually Punjabi weddings have elaborate mehendi, sangeet, haldi, varmala etc. functions before mandap wedding, here KMTMG team has shown some mercy on its viewers, by directly jumping to mandap day.

Otherwise another 5-6 weeks would have gone in watching many more boring Ahuja parties with ott plus silly plots..

veteran actress Usha has her own fan base on Zee right from PR serial days..her Lohri entry promo in KMTMG hopefully gives MORE screen time to Chitnis family story & LESS to Ahuja's / Shekawat's. so this also means from 1st Jan till 14th Jan Lohri, there isn't much progress with only filler episodes of Ahuja's parties??

btw recent two promo's have been preachy more on Chitnis side.

Babita and Bhavani:

On one side we have Babita - arrogant, egotistic, class conscious. Willing to risk any thing just to get her daughter married and anyone who has another view is worthy of being jailed / ostracised.

Another side we have Bhavani, who would ostracise herself to let her kids have a better life.

Both, though, are blind. One gives herself a lot of importance and the other none at all - or even negative importance for that matter. Perception of importance in both is skewed.

Both can be forces for good, but both have it so very wrong. Perhaps both can hide behind the phrase 'maa ka pyaar' or 'you wont get it until you are a mother'... but essentially both are irresponsible.

[Not singling them out... Both the dads may have similar characteristics ... perhaps in another post later.]

Precap for Jan 8: Amruta talks to them again... this time Dad Ahuja wants to listen to her. Of course, she doesnt have proof which Ishika asks about.

If so, good. The Ahujas - esp Babita deserve that son-in-law. Well... others too.

Like you said, I am happy if the wedding does happen, the Ahujas will repent badly. And another factor in favor of wedding happening is that the actors especially Harsh and Nimrit are relatively new to the industry, so they may not know how to be diplomatic and not let important tracks out to the viewers. (this is strictly my pov, maybe they have been instructed as well just like SBS guys.) Anything is possible.

Yeah.. can go both ways. For me its more likely to not happen - if the makers do let it happen, can even appreciate them for it. something i would guess hasnt happened before. will be weird... but guess it can be made good too. There are some hints for both.

Also... any chances that the wedding doesnt happen and Shekhar turns up and says 'I will marry her'?

Nimmi deserves someone better than Rajeev, but if shaadi happened then she will face a dark period before healing (unless they kill her in the story or like before a suicide attempt but survive). Anything can happen.

Of course they can show Rajiv a changed man but it won't happen so soon. Plus I don't see him getting cold feet either, to leave the door open for Shekhar unless Amruta plans on replacing the grooms- Rajiv with Shekhar, which is too big a plot-twist for Amruta to plan on her own. She has to have help from Virat and Shekhar, which again goes against the forced enimity between Amvira. So lots of possibilities.
