I don’t know why they did it sing some of the more popular songs of Sunil and Nargis Dutt.

Muskaan - tu Chanda and duniya mein aaye hain. She was good in both songs. Nothing outstanding but good. Adya in the chorus stuck out like a sore thumb.

Adya - yeh hai hasraton and sun mere bandhu re. I haven’t heard the first song before, but it sounded fine. She was good in the second one too. At times her vocal quality kind of sounds annoying to my ears, but then that’s probably just me. Happy for her but surprised she got an opportunity to sing a song with Shekhar over the likes of Ananya, Piyush and Shubhojit.

Piyush - aapke pehlu mein, aaja sanam madhur chandni and na munh chhupake. He was great. Some of the things he tried to do were phenomenal. Although he sings really well, I always think he’s holding himself. I think he can sing a lot better than he does.

Dipan - kehna hai, mere saamne wale khidki, meri pyari bindu. Fantastic! This really was a Dipan we haven’t seen before. Never thought of him as a front runner, but if this is how he continues, there’s no stopping him.

Utkarsh - chalo ek baar phirse, yeh raat bheegi bheegi, Tum agar saath dene ka vaada. Another lovely performance. There’s a certain honesty to his singing. I hope he goes far.

Menuka - jahaan main jati hoon, nainon mein badra chhaye, tu Jahan Jahan chalega. She was good sometimes, sometimes sounded too sweet, for me it was an average performance. Ironically the last song, where she had some trouble was the one she sang best.

Sad to see Mahima leave, but it was expected.

So no double elimination? Are they planning to drag this season till 2026?

It’s clear why they didn’t do double elimination.

Sunday Jan 7th

Sunil Dutt - Nargis special. Beautiful songs - in fact you should be spoilt for choice, but wish they had chosen better.

Muskaan - Tu chanda a very tough song, as shreya said needs to be applauded for effort. She just about managed it, anyways it was just the mukhda.( It shouldve gone to Ananya ). The second song was ok. She looked kinda sad, that I thought she may be getting eliminated.

Adya - Yun Hasraton ke Daag - again comes with a tough antra, which she wisely didn’t go into. Sun mere bandho suited her folksy style.

Piyush - tried 3 iconic songs of 3 legends & did a good job. 👍.

Dipan - 3 padosan songs. Phenomenal ! 👍👍. Loved the interludes by Shubhdeep too

Utkarsh - awesome performance. Chalo Ek Baar was so beautifully rendered, worthy of a repeat watch 👌. Utkarsh feels the lyrics & sings from the heart. Even Piyush, for that matter, Tough to decide between the two of them. But here Utkarsh was better.

Menuka - Overall good. I have always felt that she has a problem with the taal - she tends to drag & slacken the pace. Since it is live the band picks up her pace. Wish the mentors would help her with that.

Enjoyed Sunday’s better than Saturday’s.

Shreya’s inaugural song was 🤗❤️

As already pointed out by everyone here, Adya deserved to go before mahima. Even I was surprised that she got a break with shekhar.

Thankfully Menuka’s drama was kept short.

Shubhdeep & Menuka as expected figured in the bottom 4. Purpose served! 😳

Adya & Obom are actually the weaker ones, not doing upto their audition levels. But I suppose the vote bank will see them through for few more episodes at least.

So, we all agree on the top 3. What about the plus 2 to make the top 5 finalists?

Piyush, Utkarsh , Ananya for sure. I am adding Shubhdeep too.
The 5 th could be Menuka - though I don’t find her versatile, she will mostly make it through votes.
Vaibhav is showing good growth - I enjoy his performances, but don’t think he will reach the top 5.

My top 5 are - Ananya, Piyush, Utkarsh, Shubhodeep, Dipan. But in all likelihood Menuka will take one of their places.

Agree 100%. I’ve noticed this even before but yesterday during her first song it was more pronounced.
One reason for this could be she’s comfortable singing a certain way and she chooses to adapt the song to her style instead of the other way around.
Especially yesterday the ends of the sentences in the songs were dragged.

Muskaan - Was terrific.

Adya - Was good, but still needs work to do.

Dipan - Amazing and spectacular!

Menuka - Really good! Although she messed up the third song, had the courage to try again and that was amazing! I really hope she doesn't get eliminated, she deserves to be the top 5!

I am really sad that Mahima eliminated, she didn't deserve it should have stayed longer.

Caught up with the season 😊

Ananya and Piyush deserve the top 2 slots. Utkarsh is good but he strains his voice at some places. Him, Deepan and Shubhodeep may round up top 5.

Menuka's voice suited the songs very well..she is so melodious. But after she forgot the lyrics her pace was off
