Yes, I am not saying you were defending it all. I am just reiterating ki our differences, few as they are, regarding this movie was because of the shoddy writing. So I think we lost each other a bit regarding Ali's lack of jealousy. I was justing bridging the gap.

Ayaan was the bad guy in the film (though KJo tried to glorify him), Ali could very well have been a bad guy but the writing around his character was perhaps two paragraphs long. Alizeh was crucified for exercising her autonomy even though she probably never got to completely recover from Ali's cheating in the first instance and never learned to read red flags. It's horrid.

The only person who hopefully ended up happy was the character who loved Ayaan but never got his love in return.

Like you said, the writing is so bad that all these gaps we have had to speculate on and fill in the holes and mostly we've came to the same conclusions minus the jealousy stuff which I interpreted as showing that Ali was less into Alizeh than she was in him. But even without that deleted jealousy scene, I always got the feeling form their relationship that she loved him more than he loved her.

Ayan is supposed to be the bad guy in the film based on how we all perceived him but KJo definitely did not position him that way on purpose as you can see from his interview. He stood behind Ayan's actions all the way and justified them under the basis that he is a "lover."

Ironically enough, Alizeh was criticized as a character even by Anuhska. In the actress roundtable, she said she would never be friends with someone like Alizeh and I think implied that she had little respect for her.

Most people who still remember this movie in the first place to comment on it say that Saba was the best character. I've heard people say that about Naina in K3G as well. Both deserve to find happiness.

Rahul and Naina were best characters of K3G. I am glad they didn't end up together. I also think it was a callback to KKHH, Anjali let go of her romantic love for Rahul for Tina. Naina did the same for Anjali.

I never correlated her with Anjali as much as I did Tina for obvious reasons. But yes, I can see the Anjali connection now as well. I'm glad though that K3G was the last time Rani had to play second fiddle to SRK and Kajol's jodi. I wouldn't have liked KANK as much if Kajol had played Maya and Rani had played Rhea.

What is he going to do to Alia for marrying him and for having a kid with him?

This thread is about Kjo's comments that he killed off Anushka's character in ADHM because she deserved to die for not loving Ranbir's character. Her lack of love literally poisoned her insides and caused her to develop a fatal cancer.

To add to how abusive Ayan's character is, he also flicks her off twice on her wedding day when she refuses to break off her marriage five minutes before the ceremony. You would not see a SRK character do this in a Kjo film.

It's one of Karan's weakest imo but it's worth at least a watch.

I loved the use of Urdu, the performances, and the songs in film. It is just a bad film lol.
