Dunki is a palate cleanser for this Animal trash.

Movies are for entertainment period. Animal tbh has many problematic scenes ,overall entertaining but tbh I felt it could have been edited better

Vanga is actually a decent film maker the wide shots, pace etc are damn good. Story is a mix of Godfather, scarface and a bit of misogyny.

But to say Animal is responsible for crime rate is just ridiculous on so many levels. There have been many movies that have showcased misogyny including KKHH.

Should take it as entertainment, like it fine do not like it, move on.

Even kids when watching Shakti maan jumped out of buildings.

The film industry should be taken as entertainment and they are not supposed to be heroes and people should not perceive then as such they are entertainers period and must be seen in the same way.

I think Manoj Bajpayee summed it up best when he talked about Kabir Singh, it is entertainment and don't judge others for liking it. If you do not like it don't watch but don't prevent others from watching or judging

I just want to point out that this idea that movies can influence impressionable people is not unique to Animal. Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil got similar flack when he made his tone-deaf comments that Anushka had to die for not loving Ranbir as Ranbir was not problematic or inappropriate to her and was always good to her.

The reason I am calling out Animal specifically is because it goes far more extreme than Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and other films and it's also been embraced on a level unforeseen.

Those who commit violence against women and put the blame on a movie need to have their heads examined.

Will these people get inspired in the same way when they see some good things shown in a film?

I mean the Godfather has misogyny and violence aplenty, probably way more than Animal: multiple women getting hit and cheated on by the main characters besides a lot of more subtle sexism. Plenty of racism and some homophobia to add to the mix

The Godfather came out in 1971. Animal came out in 2023.
