Letting people insult your partner is a red flag and not at all practical/realistic. Letting your family members insult even a stranger's parvarish and berate their dead mother is not practical/realistic. It's just spineless. The problem with love triangles on itv is that they ruin it for cheap, shock value drama which only leave them with a second-chance trope.
KKHH was a good love triangle. Happy bhaag jayegi, cocktail, Lunchbox are great love triangles/emotional cheating stories. Even for that matter Lavanya was a great great ex.
