Rhea had a close relationship with all of her family members whereas Shaurya is rude with them. Rhea was spoilt to the core by her dad yet she seemed to have some conscience. She had a sadder story: her mom left her for her fight with her dad and separated her from her twin after she blamed him for their elder sister's demise, then her father allows her to be close to her criminal paternal aunt, who is known to be a murderer of her maternal aunt Bulbul and no Mehra gave a damn about her except her father and her criminal aunt. Her aunt abused her and spoilt her. She encouraged her in her criminal activities and pushed her to be the criminal she was in her college days. She always emotionally blackmailed Rhea that she was there for her when her own mom ran away. While Shaurya's mom was kicked out of family after they lost one of the twins, called a bad mom but then a family friend Nidhi married his dad and became his mother figure. With Nidhi around, he was spoilt rotten and unlike Rhea he had disregard for his much nicer and caring family for all the wrong reasons. Rhea's family was never as concerned about her as Luthras are about their grandkids. He even seems to disregard Nidhi at times. Rhea was highly dependent on Alia when it came to execute big schemes but Shaurya is independent from Nidhi. Rhea saved Prachi once for Pragya 's sake and was never happy to hurt Pragya if she wanted to hurt Prachi. Shaurya had dreams to hurt Rajveer and didn't care if Preeta was hurt as well. Instead he was happy. He even planned to hurt her even after she released him from jail but Rhea was grateful towards Pragya when she released her from jail. Also, Prachi behaved with Rhea the same way Rajveer is with Shaurya but no fsn called her out. In Diwali episode of 2020, Prachi said that even if Rhea was raised by her mom, her mom would feel that what kind of daughter she gave birth to. She also boasted that her mom intentionally chose her over Rhea. I don't remember Pragya choosing one daughter by logic, it was random. Instead of Rhea it could have easily been Prachi. I can't see Rajveer doing that to Shaurya. Yet there are more haters of Rajveer here. Prachi was also involved in making Rhea an antagonist to some degree. Even after Rhea redeemed temporarily, she didn't tell her that she was alive after her separation from Ranbir. Also , Ranbir was once infatuated with Rhea but Palki hated Shaurya from day one. If Palveer are endgame, Shalki fans should be happy because at least Shaurya wouldn't be that male lead who constantly mistrusts his wife. His trust would be stronger towards Palki. If Shalki are endgame, Palki will become the most bechari wife because the male lead is biggest red flag. He would mistrust and abuse her a lot. He can accuse her of an affair with Rajveer even if Raj moves on from her.

I dont know how bad Rhea was as I watched Kumkum Bhagya much later and stopped after some time as I was not liking how the show was going on.

But as far as shaurya goes ... I find his character negative. Not shades of negative ..just plain negative.If the show runners intent is to show this way then they have succeeded.

He just blames everyone else without examining how he is responsible for all the grief he is in.

For example he was pressurizing Shanaya and blaming her for the wedding getting fixed when he could himself have told to his family that he is not interested in Shanaya. By doing so he gave shanaya chance to manipulate the situation in her favour.

Now he is blaming Raman..when it was he who planned to get involved with Raman. He just plays victim after doing everything bad himself
