Aamir fans need to remember their auqat. Laal Singh Chaddha was a box office bomb and Aamir couldn't even get a Filmfare nomination for his abysmal acting.
And let's not forget this gem of a movie.

So as expected from the trailer, movie is about illegal migration. It’s the current fad. Of course Anupama’s husband n wokis have to preach. Paise to taxpayers ko dene hai. Inke bap ka kya jayega. Meh. Pass.

Only Vicky the heart of the movie. Srk tends to overact in certain scenes or maybe the execution is contributing to the weakness.
Some of the scenes which are supposed to exude the humor felt coerced. Concept is good but execution could've been better on a holistic basis.
It's a sincere effort but I'm ambivalent over the execution on a holistic basis.
Oh yes, the audio/soundtrack is decent to hear & light-hearted. I do like "Oh Maahi, "lutt putt gya," and "nikle te hum ghr se" songs particularly.
The jokes didn’t land ?!! People were laughing in theatres !!
The biggest problem with Dunki is that it doesn’t have Deepika, jiske bina all of his films since the last decade were disastrous.
I absolutely loved the film.
I didn't watch it with a critic's perspective but I loved the film. IMO it's one of the best movies in recent years. The first half was a riot, and the last hour was emotional.
