her second customer was maan making her little tense n who is not demanding but geet in time recall the nature of customer who is less demanding n contestant need to find herself need of customer

Part 9

Lying back down he wonders when he would get to see her again once this shoot is over.

If she wins, wouldn't she be traveling all the time and when she does come back... she wouldn't be making any efforts to come meet him...

He feels an itch deep in his bones.

And itch to do something and...

No! He owes her this little bit... he can't spoil it for her.

He sighs with melancholy.

G-Sir is there anything else I can do for you?

Maan gives her a deep look and then observes her slight shudder...

So, he really can't ask 'anything'. Yeah, she would shudder and say no.

Maan turns his face away.

M- You can go. Nothing else to do.

Geet sighs in relief... just a moment ago she had a feeling he was going to screw her over.... thank all the Gods whichever one acted as this man's consciousness at the last moment.

WG- Well okay then. Enjoy your day.

She gives a slight bow and runs away.

While Maan really feels unreconciled.... how long has it been he hadn't followed his impulsive whim.... he can't remember the last time... it really is hard to stop himself.

The segment is over and final scores come out.

Unsurprisingly Geet is at the top.

For customer #1 everyone was able to get similar with very small difference... but with customer #2 the scores were in opposite ends of spectrum

Contestant #1 first wore a cabin crew shirt one size smaller…drawing attention to her figure and then after finding the man she half the time ogled the man, spoke in flirtatious tone and the man had to ask her if there were spare towels available... she just pointed to where they were... conversed with the man some more and left. Not completing a single task ... if they would allow him, Maan would have given her negative score.

Contestant #2 was a guy... although he did manage to fetch him spare towels that was all he was able to do.

Hence Geet was the clear winner.

Maan left before the result announcement, which was a big relief to Geet.

She just kept having a bad premonition whenever she would see him.

For the final round it was surprisingly simple. The 2 finalists were taken to an island, and they had to plan and shoot to make 1 hr of video following the format of what they are planning for the actual travel and living show.

Both the contestants did very well, and it really was neck to neck. In the end, Geet finally won.

She could hardly believe it!! When she had demanded there to be fair competition, frankly she had expected to only land 2nd or 3rd position after all even if it's not rigged the Management company and producers surely would have their favorites which they would help win... but unexpectedly it was her who one.... someone without any strong support or a sad/pitiful background story. She really won!!

Geet was so happy ... jumping with joy smiling ecstatically all day long along.

Upon returning she celebrated with her friends; and managed to return all the debt money to her family using the advance signing fee.

She felt so light. So happy so free

But her happiness was short lived.

It really hurt more when she got the news that although she was the winner... she may not be the host. Apparently, some big persons relative was a new person in the industry and as this was the hottest anticipated show... they planned to parashoot him into the hosts role.

Somehow the news although devastated her... it didn't surprise her.

Isn't this the norm? Wasn't her winning already unbelievable. Good she still hadn't fully believed it till now.

She wondered what now?

Is this the cycle she has fallen into? Always the bridesmaid never the bride

She suddenly gets a call from unknown number.

G- Hello?

M- It's me.

W-Who?

M-Who do you want it to be?

G-Oh... you... Sir... Hello. Good evening

M- Hmm...Sir… it is then. Have you had dinner?

G-Yes

M-Even had dessert.

G- I don't eat sweets that much…

M- How about a drink?

G- I have quit.

M- Are you going to come out and meet me or shall I come up and knock on your door?

G-I am on my way out. Where should we meet.?

She says hastily

Man chuckles silently... this woman!

M- Just come downstairs. My car is parked there.

Geet got ready at the fastest Speed and rushed downstairs... seeing a luxury car honking at her... she walked over... then the driver got out and opened passenger door for her.

She gets in the car and politely nods towards the man.

G- Hello…good evening

M-You still feel it's a good evening?

She sighs and looks down.

G- Yours might be...

M-Wouldn't that depend on you?

G- I won't be a damper to your mood... if you mean anything else….then my misery loves company.

M- I see. You were serious when you addressed me as ‘Sir’. Let's go get something nice.

Geet nods following along not really caring where they go.

What she didn't expect was that their first stop would be at a luxury brand shop which only have handmade one-of-a-kind couture dresses and matching accessories.

She is almost picked by the trained salespeople there and made to change into those valuable immaculate dresses.

Although she was looking pretty already, but after changing and accessorizing she looked glamourous... a total head turner.

Geet tried a few dresses with a skeptical mood but eventually started enjoying a little…she won't get to have such an experience again, so she let go and enjoyed it.

Maan bought all the dresses and accessories but didn't say ‘it's for you’ or say, ‘take it’ or say ‘deliver to her place’ and so Geet thinks that she is not going to assume anything like an idiot again. Kal ko bole return Karo with borrowing fee... She might just be the mannequin. Uski gf ke liye bhi ho sakta hai

Geet thinks.

Next, they went to a rooftop restaurant with beautiful cityscape view

He offers her glass of champagne.

She is confused.

She accepts the glass and doesn’t drink.

He observes him gulping down his glass.

He offers her a fancy bite to eat of hors d’oeuvre.

She politely accepts that as well.

Geet questions gerself if this is a date coz it looks like one.

But there is no sweet talk or any innuendo of things leading to anything romantic or physical...

It was more like they were celebrating her win for the auditions.

M- Congratulations on winning the show though. The way yo handled those tasks was truly impressive.

Geet who was looking down at her lap gazes up at him to confirm whether he was sarcastic, but he looked very sincere.

So, she also nods and says ‘Thanks’

G- Thank you for the fair competition. I never imagined I would win. It means a lot.

He nods.

M- But what happened now is…

G-Its okay…its okay…I….I didn’t expect much anyways…that’s why…I was cooking…

M-Yeah, the catering thing. You are good cook. You should continue that.

She shrugs lightly.

G- No…I…it was ….emm…it’s my family’s…emm..let’s say…my family is into catering…so…yeah…maybe not now…in few years maybe….yeah….

Maan could sense the discomfort in the air.

Maybe he should change the topic. Maan thinks. But he is not much of a talker. He nodded along and listened to her mostly.

Geet also wishes the topic to be changed but doesn’t know how to. Can she ask about him. She isn’t sure.

Later they drive a park with pretty lights and fountains.

They get out of the car and strolled around.

G-Thank you.

M-Mhmm

G- I mean... really thanks... for tonight and for the competition too... although I won't be the host... but truly winning something with my hard work... it really made me happy and believe in me and myself again... also thanks for not interfering on my behalf and letting me work hard.

M- You really have summed up everything very nicely. Good job

G- Why do you.... who hurt you as a child huh? Why. Do you always talk this way?

She blurts out.

M-Who hurt me? Hahahahhahahhaaahahaaa

He guffaws.

Okay. He maybe handsome but he laughs weird.

Geet thinks.

Ye Ramleela ke Raavan ka audition de raha hai kya?

She wonders and smiles at her own inner joke.

M-No one. No one could hurt me. What about you? Who hurt you? As a child? As a grown up?

Geet shifts her weight a little uncomfortably wrapping her arms around herself as if giving herself a reassuring hug

G- ... I don't know how to answer that... saying no one would be a lie... and taking names is also not possible.

M-So many people?

He asks with genuine curiosity.

G- People and circumstances... Sometimes when you are a nameless nobody... you just get squashed and hurt as a collateral damage... I am not worthy for anyone to put effort into and plan to hurt me.

He kind of has seen her at her worst and seen her struggling desperately toh somehow Geet ko uske saamne embarrassment thodi kam hoti hai when revealing her flaws.

M-What if you become worthy? Powerful? Rich?

G- Maybe in dreams sure

M- I can turn that into reality for you.

Captivating update… pleasantly written

so Maan wants to meet Geet again

at least he did not do anything to spoil it for her

Geet was indeed relieved that he did not ask for anything else

seems like Maan is impulsive

but this time he controlled himself

of cos Geet was was the winner for that round

Geet's thoughts were reasonable

ahh Maan left

great that the final round was simple

glad that Geet won

she was indeed amazed

Glamourous and Amazing Update

Wow Geet truly deserved the win

that was simply amazing

Maan on the other hand phoning Geet and taking her out

on the night , buying her new outfits too

so he was pampering Geet the best way he could
