What a sad year performance wise.All the mentioned ones were pretty average.

Tripti? Did I watch a different film? Tripti was in the Animal for like 10 mins and she didn’t even do anything impactful, my goodness her PR is really working in overdrive, labelling her as the nations crush, calling her next big thing, and all based on her role in animal?

I am actually feeling bad for rashmika, she didn’t act well in the movie but she had a full fledged role, but here tripti’s PR is giving tripti all the limelight like she was the female lead

People like her because Tripti is a good actress and has a lot of talent. Her role in Animal was nothing but with this hype she can act well in another film.

While she did a smaller 'role' compared to a big male star, she's easily the most talented one of the entire crew (in theatre skills she is a stronger actor than Ranbir, and that is no slouch, Ranbir is an above average actor!)

We have not had a female performer in a long time who debuted above average - Kiara got big from KS because of her image, but her acting is not extraordinary after that (still okay tbf). Shraddha is in a similar boat but weaker than Kiara at acting, her overacting is carried by her looks and 'personality'.

Not to mention Tripti age wise and look wise is very appropriate to act with the male stars. Rashmika is pretty but she will not be super popular with non South audiences. For starters, she's younger than Sara Ali Khan.

Her personality and vibes are very childish - which while some people like, historically gets her trolled for being 'annoying' much in the vein of a Parineeti Chopra. Janhvi Kapoor has a similar issue. I like Rashmika, and she's a GREAT dancer, also not bad at acting. But she is not something extraordinary and roles she does could be done by another Bollywood actress. Most of her fans are male.

Part of the issue is also the character Vanga wrote for Rashmika. Many male fans loved to hate on Rashmika's character as the 'annoying' one, or the idiotic one. The trailer was disastrous for a first impression. In reality, Rashmika did very well. She performed better than the Kabir Singh ladies and held her ground, but Ranbir just overshadowed her in the eyes of the Animal audience.

This is the first year in recent bollywood history where all the major female roles were so half baked. Alia's was decently written but the others were ehhhh. I am hoping for next year to be a huge turnaround.

Rashmika emotes very well. But man oh man.I cant with her mumbling and heavy south accent which hampered my vieweing experinece personally. But she is expressive, I will give her that!

Nayanthara got overshadowed by DP in Jawaan whilst the latter had like 20 minutes of screentime. I am beginning to think south actresses, maim stream ones at least, are not that great to begin with. Of course I say this with my minimal.experinece with south movies, so there might be some brilliant actresses am not familiar with.

Tripti's recognition was well over due. I am surprised she managed to overshadow Rashmika in her miniscule role as a big screen debutant. I am both happy and surprised.
