Watched it and it was an okay movie like those "High school musical" or "Camp Rock" kind of movies

Suhana is terrible. Her expressions are not bad in scenes where she was confronting her family but her dialogue delivery is terrible, she needs a speaking coach because she speaks in surround sound (if it makes sense). Her dance on skates was good but the first dance number had so many posture issues, it made me uncomfortable

Anyone who told them that it is a good idea to launch a batch of new Nepokids with a movie like this, should be fired.

Well, I think, as an intelligent man (and concerned father) he would want her adult daughter to make her own choices and learn from them. I'm sure, he is there to support her in coping with failures/criticism/negativity and to encourage her to learn what is necessary to learn...and to not crack under pressure.

I also think that not only SRK but also Gauri and Aryan belong to her support system assuring that especially remarks demeaning her physical appearance don't affect her.

She is a beautiful young woman with very distinctive features .

Which one was Vedang?

Everyone was equal in terms of expressions, there was none "better" IMO except Khushi Kapoor, she was unbearable.

SRK wouldn't interfere. He is a very busy man..

FilmiDhun, I just read your review and I'm thankful that you took your time to write your detailed thoughts, especially about the ensemble cast.

As I never came in contact with the Archie comics or the already existing filmizations, I had no references beforehand. But you explain your expectations/hope so well that I can understand your disappointment. I grew up with other comics which had been filmed with real persons and I can relate to what you wrote.

After all the flack that I read, it feels nice to get to know that my (quite positive) view of the characters/performances hadn't been totally wrong.

With your explanations, though, I can better see where the filmmaking failed (direction, scripting). And strangely, a part of Suhana's acting also made me think of theatre-acting (which I thought of being meant to show a certain artificiality/ snobby attitude contrasting to when she shed this in other scenes for a more natural and emotionally genuine behaviour).
