Watched it finally. And I have to thank the kind folks on this thread for dropping my expectations so low that I ended up liking the movie 😂

Definitely zoya's weakest work though. I had expected so much more atleast on the story telling front where she excels (no pun intended). It reminded me of those happy go lucky Christmas movies where the relationships are not explored and the stakes are never raised too high and everything is quite nice and predictable. Thats what this movie was, predictable and nice. Not great, not bad. A sweet one time watch

Coming to the performances and the nepotism ki toli. Suhana really disappointed after all the hype. She has mild moments of spark but I expected more from her since she had the best character arc - one of misunderstanding and redemption. It's easy to come out a hero from it, but she just squandered this opportunity.

But Agastya was even more disappointing - he was just so bland despite having the titular role. All his other male constars were better than him. Vedang is the one to watch out for. Dude has style and looks and the x factor. He was like a mini Ranveer Singh.

Khushi actually seemed the better of the 3 nepos, although her weird duck face is hard to ignore. And she is pretty damn bland as well especially in her solo poetries or songs where she could have stood out.

Basically a bunch of opp squandered here. Especially considering they don't have the box office pressure here either. Should have expected an unabashed performance. But bohot thanda nikle teenon.

Overall a nice, one time, December watch

For the people who have read the comics, I have a question (I haven't read Archies at all)

Is Archies supposed to be a dull headed kid who can't decide what he wants in life? And falls in love with every girl he comes across? He reminded me of Saif's character in Dil Chahta Hai. A little stupid, people pleaser kind of guy with 'aaj puja kal koi duja' problems

Watched it. Nothing like what I would expect from Zoya. Just a one time watch. The outsider kids clearly outperformed the nepo bunch. The nepo toli should’ve started with smaller roles and let the better actors take the heat if they are asking for time to settle down in acting and not be judged. But they want to take up the lead roles but also don’t want to be judged because this is their first role? Can a doctor or a ceo say the same thing?

Yes......Zoya got Archie right....he is an idiot basically...who goes after girls....Zoya got Archie and Jughead right...so I don't know if Agastya is a bad actor or he was actually acting correct...
