Love making scenes and kiss which are part of the script are not same as mindless sex.

Anyways personally, not that I mind sex scenes. It’s a natural thing. Doesn’t hurt anyone. Whereas violence is unnecessary. Humans cant claim to be the best species alive on earth and continue thriving on ‘basic natural instinct’ to defend it. Have brain ? Use it. Claim to have empathy ? Use it. Else call yourselves just another animal and move from civilized society and go to jungle and do all these. Will see who turns out as Jungle King without all the weapons and shit. smiley29

Sorry I am just mad at the hypocrisy of humans in general. I am hoping people stop celebrating this shiz for the sake of it, and in future Vanga gets ZERO A lister to display his craziness. But looking at the BO, seems like all Indians were waiting for, is this type of movie. There used to be movies like Darr, Agnisakshi, Anjam, Lajja, the pigs won’t get the girls, no one IN the movie would feel bad for them. Now the entire movies are made to make people fall for such characters, or think it is OKAY.

This is very weird comment 😭

Tere Naam even. He was living in mental hospital in the end. smiley36

Say it’s a hot take but I feel some of these things people loathe Vanga for are in plenty of movies 🤷‍♀️

The whole film is characters looking at him in disgust, leaving him and him losing his shit in the end ….that’s barely a “promotion” of such behaviour

It's not "promoting", it's earning money with showcasing it.

It's inciting discussions about what art can do, what art can tell, how art is a reflexion of the artist's mind/endeavour.

As I don't know Vanga, I can only suppose/assume/interpret. And I even didn't watch (and won't watch) the movie. But I can talk about what I know about the story...and I think, Vanga is in no way innovative or special...just challenging in a space where he can reach millions of people with whom he probably shares a certain mindset...

It's nothing new...and certainly nothing revolutionary (at least not to me who has watched Coppola, Scorsese, Brian de Palma & Co. However, I suspect, that Vanga is a far cry away from having a distance from both his movie subjects...

And i'll just add this here aswell. Vanga actually wants negative reviews, because he can use the excuse of 'woke feminism' and twist it to his advantage, and he uses it to create more buzz for the film. So even if you genuinely didn't like the film, that person will be called 'woke' and will be attacked, they'll be accused of being biased in their wokeness and feminism that they couldn't see how much of a masterpiece Animal is and how much of a genius Vanga is, it's absolutely insane.

Let’s not pretend like we have never seen toxicity in cinema that was celebrated …and won several awards and box office records

The cinematic experience is not the same as the moral takeaway from the film

It’s unfortunate when your defending point is comparing this to movies from 3 decades ago and btw SRK’s in those movies weren’t glorified each and every one was portrayed as a villain. No one looks back and thinks anything he’s done is acceptable or heroic smiley36

That is crazy. Thanks for sharing. It never occured to me that they would do that. In the end finding anything to criticize women.

It's what they have been doing throughout the Animal promotion campaign, Vanga as we know wants to be known as a villain to the critics and women, he has made his base believe that critics, women and woke people are out to attack him for his style of film making. So any negative review will he heckled and will be used to make more noise for the film. Already clips of the film are being shared all over social media to get people talking. So this movie is all about shock value and how much this movie can offend, and people think this makes the film more successful
