Actually

The show was down a spot after the love confession in Kasauli then they had to change tracks and bring them back to Udaipur and TRP increased with Abhimanyu winning Abhir's custody

That's where they decided to kill Abhinav. If TRP had increased with the confession then they would have killed Abhimanyu
