yes, most live by themselves these days but ITV needs drama and without that no trpOriginally posted by: Indira1211
does super rich families like the podaars all still live in joint family set ups in India ? Does it have to be that way ??? Couldn’t they go the modern route and show Armaan and abhira living in their own apartment or house. Where I live extended family set ups usually only occur when the couples can’t afford to buy their own house so they continue living with the parents..otherwise most married couples have their own homes. But lol.. I know that doesn’t happen in itv or yrkkh land😂 as daughter in laws need to live with husband family for drama and to suffer their insults ☹️
There is one thing that every individual always forgets which is the regret and despair that an individual feels if the past that (s)he looks back in our life during old age/any stage is overwhelmed with bad memories.
Sure nuclear family is convenient and you can live as per your terms and philosophy. But if you have to do that by breaking your other relationships you cannot really be happy in its true sense with the family no matter what because deep-rooted relationships are bounded by memories, attachment and emotions. It is a different story if you can stay without feeling sorrowful. But for most, at any point of their life, they will reminisce them and will regret if they are broken relationship.
Whose families are perfectly balance? No one's. But still people always do their best to maintain the relationships and stay with their families. Old Ak maintained every relationship and it is true Naira was shown as person being at disadvataged in her sasural. But in the end, she was able to amend her relationship with her sasural. But Ak tho couldn't maintain any of her relationships and she always regretted it. When she is gonna die also I do not think she can die peacefully ideally. She is leaving without amending her broken relationship with her beloved ones. Such a tragic character :/.
Yeah but nuclear family doesn’t mean they forget their relationships. They just live separately Like the way Kajol-Sanjay keeps meeting the Poddar they can show them living separately but meeting once in a while as the world has progressed.Originally posted by: Manny_123

I hope this time when Abhira is thrown out! Armaan supports her.
If we talk ONLY about Akshara in Gen 4, she is not Akshara or Akshu… she is modelled on Kamal Joshi

Yeah agree with you! Akshara Singhania showed a perfect example of living in a harmonious joint family. But the reasons why her offspring’s couldn’t follow was
1. Naira learnt to live and survived pretty much on her own until she was found by her family again post leap
2. Akshara Goenka, lost her mom in a young age and her step-mom and dad during her adolescence. And she didn’t have her maternal grandparents (Akshara, Naitik) and Goenka family were unbalanced in relationship themselves. They couldn’t give proper values to their kids l, forget grandkids
3. Now Abhira Sharma, forget joint family, unlike Abhir she doesnt even live in nuclear family. Abhir still had Abhinav, Akshara, Muskaan and her mom. It will be difficult for Akshara to adjust in such a big family. Let’s see if she manages it wellalong with her career and education this time
Last time in birlas they seemed to be a joint family on the surface but don't have that bond, but akshara still failed. This time poddars have much deeper bond compared to birlas with dadisa present. Unlike abhimanyu for whom only Neil and Manjari mattered here for armaan family matters even though vidya and rohit are his bottom line. From the first day of Abhira with poddars ruhi is present unlike arohi who came later to the birlas, so get ready for the constant comparison between the two.
Will dadisa allow abhira for her further studies is a question to be answered. Any way I don't think they will go same as ghum after marriage, as they have started to receive heavy backlash. Even trp aunties will find it uninteresting and perdictable if they follow as ghum has aired in recent years.
In the promo akshara is saying yuvraj will return, so they might retain him for future twist.
Exactly AK couldn’t maintain most of the relationships in her life. Only during her 6 years in Kausali and now 22 years in Mosseries she’s had a good lifeOriginally posted by: Manny_123

Yeah nuclear family is exactly like that. I live in a nuclear family and we do not have joint family concept here. As you said we visit other relatives occasions and keep in touch.
My point was that if you had to cut ties with your beloved ones just to live in nuclear setting, it would not lead you to a happy family life.
I really wish he doesn’t try after their marriage and his track ends hereOriginally posted by: shalu1786

I rather have Poddar family create drama than himyes definitely! But what else she could have done? Unlike Singanhia and Maheshwari family who actually go to find their lost daughters - Goenka don’t even care? And asked her to go out while have a child and being pregnantOriginally posted by: Manny_123
