Barely days after the two teams met in the 2023 50-over World Cup final, they're back squaring off each other in a 5-match T20I series, starting in Visakhapatnam. While the ODI World Cup just concluded, the T20I World Cup ain't too far away and both teams would be looking forward to building up to that tournament in the West Indies. The packed international calendar has meant both teams are not at their full strength - India has reposed faith in the squad which won the Gold medal at the recent Hangzhou Asian Games. On the other hand, Australia have rested several of their first choice players as well, making the contest intriguing. Toss and team sheets coming up shortly..

Axar on returning from injury

The all-rounder said that his mindset stays the same as it was before he sustained the injury. "The mindset remains the same as what it was before I had to miss the World Cup due to injury. But I am fit again and am keen on doing well in all departments of the game. I have not made any changes and am focusing on the processes. I don't want to make much changes to my mindset. I am not looking at this series from the view that I am among the senior players in the team now. I just want to continue doing what I was before the injury," Axar said.

Pitch Report - It's a hard pitch, super flat, a good sheen and will come onto the bat nicely. 180 could be a winning score

Ishan Kishan is in this squad and so you would think that this is a no-brainer. But the team sheet put out by the BCCI shows Jitesh Sharma as the only designated wicketkeeper.
