The Story Of Lord Shiv And Goddess Parvati Will Show Ardhanarishvara

Avatar.

The Story Goes

As Shiv and Parvati are on their way to the sacred abode of Kailash, a group of revered rishis nears them, intending to partake in the auspicious ritual called Parikrama. However, among the sages is Rishi Bhringi, who adamantly refuses to perform Parikrama around Parvati. The rishi curses Parvati, deeming her a mere mortal and not worthy of such reverence. Fuelled by anger at the perceived injustice, Parvati responds by removing the skin from Rishi Bhringi, leaving him in his skeletal state.

Addressing the cause of this event, Shiv takes the divine form of Ardhanarishvara, illustrating the concept that Parvati is the complementary half that completes him. Shiv conveys the interconnectedness that exists between them.

Yes true, but then the rishi had lot of guts to do such act as he should have been scared to talk against goddess Parvati. And it will be counted as big sin or may be he was ignorant of the fact that goddess Parvati is actually Adi shakti.

Rishis and even some devtas were also not free from feelings of jealousy, hatred, ego etc. Which made them do all these mistakes time and again.

Though adi shakti is also a creator but due to her human form she is also susceptible to human flaws.

Only and only Shiv is pure and above all these flaws, as they say, he is truly, satyam shivam sundram.

But he also developed a third leg or the tripod that enabled him to stand upright.

Actor chosen for the role for sage Bhringi should've been chosen to play the role of the Shukracharya smiley36. Lol, he's far better in acting than actor playing Shukracharya. smiley36

For those who are wondering if the sage turned into a snake, he did according to some folklores and I believe, my mother told me she heard he converted to a rat or something as well before he finally took form of the beetle.
