But I have faith in Lokesh sir, & whether he delivers or not but you can't question Kamal Sir's passion for cinema. It is unbelievable. So I still hope Vikram 2 lives up to the legacy.

Of course what Rajni sir & Kamal sir has gathered is lots of love, adminiration & soo much respect. They have produced quality. Nayakan, Michael madan kama Rajan, Appu Raja, Thalapathy, Baasha, Johny: they stand the test of time. Who is going to remember these mindless 100 cr blockbuster of Vijay after couple of years?

Varishu was sooo bad. It was a typical daily soap where hero goes away after fighting with his father, comes back & finds out that everything is going wrong in his family & magically fixes everything. Their business, their family relationships, he was even advising his bhabhi to give a chance to his brother who was cheating on her, & Yes, there was Rashmika, who was there for songs & dance. There was no character arc for her. I wonder how they would have approached her. That "Ohh , you will get to share the screen with The Thalapathy & there are 3-4 scenes , 3-4 songs. It was sooo uncomfortable watching her.

I was so angry after watching that movie.

Yep all these points were raised in those reddit threads too....it was a godawful movie

Yeah i have no hopes for Indian 2 it's going to be another Shankar movie with no substance and only style

That elder brother in varisu dropped a container on his brother when he became the CEO ...imagine what would've happened if Dhanraj had done that to Prem....Bhumi would've burnt the entire Mahajan campus to the ground

Pata hai during pre-release interview Rashmika told that the transformation her character goes through in Varishu is interesting. But actually when Vijay sees her for the first time in the movie, he all smitten asked his side-kick who was she? He reminded him that she was the nerdy sister of his bhabhi with glasses & bracket clips on her teeth, whom he found boring. Now when she is modern, glamorous,hot & beautiful Vijay is attaracted.

This was the transformation she was talking about. Poor girl Kya kya bolna padta hai for promotion!

Also Shankar sir's female characters are soo problematic. Love angle is soo awkward.I always cringe .

Exactly! Idk how the film got remade without the climax being changed...movie would be trolled if it were to be made again with the same climax

Has this been also remade in Bollywood? I can already amazing what a big flop it will be

Nope not officially remade in bolly but don't know about unofficial remakes

The husband forgets his wife's birthday and they have a unique way of recording messages in tape recorder for the other person to hear whenever they return home ( sounds simple on writing but that scene was really good)
