I also liked Vijay Thalapathy in his earlier movies not the kind of movies he has done in the later years . At least most of them.

I stopped watching Vijay movies since 2017 so idk how Leo was , but read the wiki plot and the whole reason of conflict feels too 1980's style reason....but the movie was a hit because of his fans

Yeah his fans are crazy... I live in Odisha. Hence I don't get to know the word of mouth of neutral audience. One of my friends told me that Varishu is a huge success in Tamil. It is a blockbuster. So you have to watch it. She showed me a video also where people were going mad for him & that movie. So I watched & I still hold it against her. I told her you wasted my 2:30 hrs. It was soo bad.

Do you think Vijay is the biggest star of Kollywood at this point since he is getting away with these bad & lazy movies & they are becoming blockbuster also?

Vijay is the biggest star but he can never reach the popularity that Rajini sir or Kamal still has

Yep his fan crowd is so saturated that even his dumb movies are considered as hit

He hasn't "acted" in any of his movies since 2016....he just appears on screen , recites his dialouges , makes 100 cr and walks away ( like Salman)

But I have faith in Lokesh sir, & whether he delivers or not but you can't question Kamal Sir's passion for cinema. It is unbelievable. So I still hope Vikram 2 lives up to the legacy.

Of course what Rajni sir & Kamal sir has gathered is lots of love, adminiration & soo much respect. They have produced quality. Nayakan, Michael madan kama Rajan, Appu Raja, Thalapathy, Baasha, Johny: they stand the test of time. Who is going to remember these mindless 100 cr blockbuster of Vijay after couple of years?

Varishu was sooo bad. It was a typical daily soap where hero goes away after fighting with his father, comes back & finds out that everything is going wrong in his family & magically fixes everything. Their business, their family relationships, he was even advising his bhabhi to give a chance to his brother who was cheating on her, & Yes, there was Rashmika, who was there for songs & dance. There was no character arc for her. I wonder how they would have approached her. That "Ohh , you will get to share the screen with The Thalapathy & there are 3-4 scenes , 3-4 songs. It was sooo uncomfortable watching her.

I was so angry after watching that movie.
