Lakhan and his weird 'punishments'. Lakhan considered Poonam as an extension of himself, like his arm or leg. He also took Poonam's place and got the whipping meant for her. He believed he had full authority over her and had a tendency to take out his frustration over the world on her. He's a product moulded by his patriarchal family and background -uneducated and terribly conservative. But with an odd sense of honor and morality. For eg he would never cheat on her and always insist that others respect her. He had no illusions about his mother and did not put her on a pedestal and insist that Poonam worship her. Like every other soap hero out there.

Deva manipulated Tara by buttering up Chacha and Chachi offering the haveli as the wedding venue. She is now even more entangled in his web. Lakhan would have missed the opportunity and would have been incapable of seeing anything more than Chachu-Chachi harassing his lady love. And he'd have reacted predictably.

Tara is lucky that Deva is a gentleman- devious but honorable. He only made her write out the plans once. Lakhan would have given her an imposition for 100 times. Probably while making her stand on one leg.

I have not watched Begusarai so I won't comment on the same.But one could clearly see the pain in Dev's eyes in yesterday's episode when he said this iconic line " Main Pyaar karta hu apne Zakhmon se kyunki main nafrat karta hu ise denewali se" referring to Tara here.Dev is still in deep pain for the false complaint Tara put Deva through which led to him serving a long prison sentence.Yet at the same time he beat the crap out of that Palash who had evil intentions on Tara and he would have perhaps hurt him more had Tara not stopped him then and there.

When Tara tried to apply that Haldi Balm on Deva's wound he then said that above mentioned iconic dialogue to her further confusing her.I think one thing is pretty much clear and can be seen from Deva's character-don't know whether he has started to fall for her but one thing is pretty clear he will always protect Tara no matter what happens to her.He's gonna save her from that fire too.

But as usual Tara would always remain gullible still failing to understand the hints Deva provides right in front of her eyes.As Mr.Mallik Deva is quite cold and calculative but vulnerable and its only Tara or her memories which makes him vulnerable.

Either Deva's gonna marry Tara or Tara's gonna fall for him somehow.Also why is Deva not trying to figure out as Mr.Mallik that what caused Tara to lie to the cops about that Fire incident within the Sehgal Mansion.It has become clear from today's episode that Soni and Sartaj were the real culprits behind that fire incident within the Sehgal Mansion because they wanted the entire property for themselves.Soni specially does not deserve to be called a mother of Ananya forget about being the aunt for Tara.

Deva as Mr Mallik his revenge schemes have been successful but its fixed on the wrong target-Tara.Can Deva figure out the evil duo Sartaj and Soni who destroyed his childhood packed him off to prison and are the ones responsible for the current misunderstanding between Tara and him?

Sartaj at least cares about his daughter Ananya but Soni is a greedy and evil lady through and through.She's the classic definition of a real gold digger.

Deva at least should try to find out the truth before proceeding on with his revenge plans bcoz his plans are gonna make him lose her.And it would be better if he still stopped giving hints to Tara.

Love might or might not possibly happen between the two someday but for that its Deva who has to figure out what does he want in his life going ahead? Growing feelings for her or senseless revenge with no sound logic.

Still Tara also cannot be absolved of the blame to what happened to Deva? Life repaid her for her sins in the form of Sehgal family losing all their power and influence. Unfortunately for her not only Soni but even Deva is gonna target her.How will Tara deal with all these issues?

Deva is hurt and wants Tara to atone for what she had done to him. At the same time he can't bear to hurt her beyond a certain limit. He's conflicted between his instinct to punish Tara and his love. He's also very civilized.Sartaj and Soni are very one-note villains here. Not properly written. With lots of clownish overacting.

Do watch Vishal's acting in Begusarai to see the difference. Lakhan Thakur is more raw,psycho and silent than Deva. He'd have put Palash in the hospital for his sins. He has done so in the show -once with seniors ragging his lady love at college and another time when the vamp insults her. Deva listens to Tara and lets Palash go. He lets her take the initiative in dealing with her family. He trusts her capability. Lakhan simply wouldn't listen to anyone once anger gets hold of him.

Dev and Lakhan are completely different yet had similar traits. Lakhan was distracted by his anger, he could never show his love to Poonam, As they couple continued to stay with each other, Poonam realized his softer side. Dev is distracted by his loyalty to Tara.. He knew no matter what happens.. He will never be able to hurt Tara phyically. Lakhan never understood that he is hurting Poonam emotionally. That empathy was severely lacking in him as he was a bred of orthodox patriarchal society. Deva on the other hand is highly empathetic and know why exactly he has returned. He is sure about his revenge but his softer side is blocking his focus. He knew what his agenda is and this is the reason he is stopping himself to get closed to Tara.. But at the same time her presence and action is mellowing him down. He is severly hurt by the lies of tara than being angry. Here his pain is more poignant than anger.

He fell in love with her the very day they met in their childhood. His life revolves around her. As they were child they never understood it. Deva loves her but he is in a denial and yet to be realized the phase in the story. This I think personally.

I cannot really blame her wholly. Firstly, she was a kid when they were separated. The girl must have been under huge pressure (reason not known but can be anticipated) while telling the lie.. Dev had changed to a rugged man from a sweet stable boy so Tara is yet to understood his real self. I mean there will be a lot of change in phisicality and psyche of a boy of 12 and a Man of 30" s that too they are meeting after 15 years. Secondly Tara is guilty, she still bears the wound of telling the lie,She even if is trying to connect the dots.. is denying the fact that Mallik can be Deva. Swastik reveals very fast,I think she will soon realize it or Deva might bring someone to be Fake Deva... And then might Tara actually realize that Mallik is none other than Deva only.

Deva 's sole focus is now Tara. He is more obsessed with the lie and the predicament he had faced rather than those who actually did the crime. As the show progresses and Deva "s anger will reduced,He will be able to probe into the matter. Anger usually clouds a person's rationale. So I think Deva with time will discover the mystrey that who had actually did that. And this revealation will happen a lil later, Abhi agar ho gaya toh story mein kuch khas bachega nehi.

Soni is the typical irrational idiotic villain. The lady should be indebted.. But she is scheming the murder plan to the person who saves her daughter. For trps, Makers knowingly create such characters. Jo dikhta hai woh bikta hai.

But this is the very crust of the story where Chand (Their childhood love) will burn and go through various ordeals. Dev surely will figure out the real culprits. Its a lovestory so love is gonna happen. Dont break our poor heart... Its the love we are vouching for... If they will not show love, the fans will run with a hammar behind the makers to break their skull off. Tara had a huge reason of telling the lie. Speculations are on that she must be lieing to save Deva from a bigger harm or must have been highly manipulated by her own family.

I thought Tara is the Chand and Dev is Suraj.He says it in the promos "Ab Chand ko Jalna hai". Suraj/Dev has already burned enough. It's amazing how Dev retains so much of his soft sensitive side even after going through such horrible experiences. He's so focused on Tara because she's the only person in his life who has ever loved him.

While Lakhan who had loving parents turned out to be a psycho. To be fair Lakhan's father did give permission to his uncle to kill him at one point. And his mother was always focused on achieving her dreams through him. He was only a means. But still he loved his parents and did not hold any grudges. He knew their flaws and loved them. But he never totally respected them as individuals.
