Devoted to his family and his sweetheart. He's so silent that the occasional scenes when he displays his heart are worth in gold. Like when Poonam asks him why he won't give his grandmother another chance. The pain in his eyes when he said he did everything for this family, danced to their tunes and still they didn't give him respect and took away his most cherished possession - Poonam.

If Lakhan was in Deva's position, Palash and his mandali would have been in the hospital by now for daring to put a hand on his sweetheart. And Tara wouldn't have been able to stop him. Lakhan's rage was uncontrollable. He once dragged the vamp Bindiya by her hair, beat her nearly to death and was about to shoot her for insulting his fiancee. Tara's Chachu and Chachi wouldn't have dared to taunt Tara. Deva uses them as his pawns to manipulate Tara while Lakhan would have annihilated them. Deva uses his head while Lakhan is all heart and impulses.

Would love to see that Vishal is a great actor. He can provide justice to any role that he takes 🙂 he is really very underrated actor who deserves appreciation 🙂

Deva might use Chacha and Chachi to manipulate Tara but he will not be such a derailed character like Lakhan. Lakhan was a silent Torendo. Deva is a blazing flame.

Lakhan and his weird 'punishments'. Lakhan considered Poonam as an extension of himself, like his arm or leg. He also took Poonam's place and got the whipping meant for her. He believed he had full authority over her and had a tendency to take out his frustration over the world on her. He's a product moulded by his patriarchal family and background -uneducated and terribly conservative. But with an odd sense of honor and morality. For eg he would never cheat on her and always insist that others respect her. He had no illusions about his mother and did not put her on a pedestal and insist that Poonam worship her. Like every other soap hero out there.

Deva manipulated Tara by buttering up Chacha and Chachi offering the haveli as the wedding venue. She is now even more entangled in his web. Lakhan would have missed the opportunity and would have been incapable of seeing anything more than Chachu-Chachi harassing his lady love. And he'd have reacted predictably.

Tara is lucky that Deva is a gentleman- devious but honorable. He only made her write out the plans once. Lakhan would have given her an imposition for 100 times. Probably while making her stand on one leg.smiley36

I agree so very much. And the last line is true in all sense Oh man! Lakhan was another specis! But what I always felt Poonam loved him but not that in the intensity he did to her...Her love for him came out vividly when Komal enters in their lives. Untill that Poonam was a dotted bahu and a fidelous wife but not a lover So I really want Tara to deeply love Deva. Like a woman loves a man

Your explanation is quite satisfactory. I really liked it. What is your name? Were u active in Begusarai Forum? I was an avid fan but I had no account then... Discussing things with u is entertaining. Pls do keep in touch.

I Really Love The Shiv Aarti Theme The Most 😍

And The Theme Song Of Chand Jalne Laga Is Really Annoying To Me

But Its Ok I Don't Mind.

I discovered Begusarai just a couple of weeks ago and was fascinated. The show is well-written and has such interesting side characters who all have their own motivations. I was searching for Vishal's other work and Chand Jalne Laga dropped straight into my lap. Deva is as much of an anti-hero like Lakhan. Both are loners who pine for their childhood sweethearts who can't see their fine inner qualities. Just what I wanted.

And yes, Poonam never loved Lakhan as much as he loved her. For her, he's her husband and she's supposed to love whoever marries her. She is also a product of her background and upbringing and must have been only what 18 or 19 when they married.

Deva is a upgraded version of Lakhan. Vishal told this to an interview. And I think the moment Tara will know who actually Mr Malik is.. Her attitude towards will change. I want her to get first married to Deva... then being torned apart between her love for the same man without kniwing it then knowing who he is actually! The difference between Tara and Poonam is that... The latter will more emotive and reciprocal.

Vishal never plays regular hero. I am really happy the way he make choices.

He played Parshuram. He played Tevar in Kulfi kumar which was also a equally strong role... But at that show he was not the male lead. He played a extended cameo but pulled it off equally. At the same time I think Deva is a better person than Lakhan. He is just hurt and want clarification and has came back to discover the lie Tara told against him
