Just saw Netflix extended edition. This is movie is full Paisa Vasool. It’s OTT but it works. I loved the Azad character more than Vikram. I think Azads escapades of taking people hostage could’ve gotten its own movie 🍿 So many fun moments. The Mufasa/Simba dialogue ♥️ Basically any time Vikram/Azad were in same scene it was extremely entertaining I love Ramaiya Vastavaiya the song. It’s Srks movie all the way but I will make special mention for Nayanthara she has a great screen presence. I also loved Sanjays cameo 😂 If Vikram/Azad get a 2nd movie I would watch it.

Even I wanna watch Jawan 2 but SRK is not keen on making a sequel right now

I, too, was positively surprised by the entertainment quality even on OTT. It wasn't the same with the spy movie as there, the impressive nature of all the locations played a major role. Somehow Jawan was more intimate than Pathaan - in a good way.

Jawan has a lot of potential for other movies related to the different stories. This time, it really had been showcasing the strengths of SRK - in his thinking, acting, versatility and screen presence. I hope that these strengths get showcased/explored in future films as well done as in Jawan (and partly also in Pathaan).

Now, my next focus is on Tiger 3...Sunday

It's exciting end of the year with Vicky's movie and then Dunki (I certainly will skip Animal...violence just for the sake of violence isn't my cup of tea)

Yeah.

He said this at the fan event on his birthday, he wants to do original movies. I guess this is why he declined Don 3 as well

Okay so I saw the movie and here is my review:

What worked for me the most was the constant inclusion of feminism and the “women”. I think they certainly held the film together as pillars. I loved that part of the movie. Nayanthara was good, so were most of the actors including Sanya, Vijay and Sanjay.

I think what didn’t work me for is whatever they did to SRK’s face, whatever they did to his upper lip and eyes was just weird. I wish he just came as he is, embracing his age and didn’t do all this CGI and weird stuff. He looked better when he looked old. In some scenes he literally looked like a cartoon. Sorry SRK fans, you can’t pretend that this isn’t true. The older version of him actually looked a lot better. It was hard for me to connect with his performance especially when he looked so plastic and fake. We tend to be hard on plastic actresses so I don’t see why he should be let off easy.

Also the movie is too long and sometimes too preachy. Its views on voting are completely delusional.

For me the best part of the movie was none other than Deepika Padukone! She completely stole the show in this one. It was so refreshing to see her natural beauty and full display of acting talent. There are no small roles and she proved it. I actually think he should win all the awards for this. If Alia can win for Gully Boy, there is no reason why Deepika can’t win for this one. This is most natural and heart felt performance. She did in her limited screen time what most can’t do with full length roles! So proud of Deepika for this one. Completely redeemed herself after a lull.

I’d give the movie 7/10 but because of Deepika I’ll say 8/10
