I have already said that morally what viaan proposed was wrong but it wasn't rape or work place harrassment. You have an opinion on this without even knowing either characters or their story properly. Point is viaan was wrong for putting that offer on the table when katha came to him and he shouldn't have gone ahead with it (his reasons were pretty misguided) and he has been blamed enough for it. He repented and got punished for it. Katha also.played her part in this by accepting the offer instead of taking a chance and confessing the truth of not being single and needing money for her son. Viaan's reaction when he found out made it so clear that he would have helped her for sure without any strings attached.
Garewals?? Seriously? Same garewals that left her to her own devices for 10 years and then told her to get out when she came asking for financial help for aarav? Their reaction was out of care of katha but there was a lot of guilt too esp Mr garewal. They would have never contacted katha if she didn't come to them asking for help. Also did you even read my post or comprehend it at all? I was and still am clearly pointing out mistakes on both sides so saying I am blaming everything on katha is ludicrous.
I have watched this show and even though I am irregular viewer, I have seen each episode atleast twice. The third person perspective I am talking about, applies to Grewals as well. They are nothing but, third person. From third person 's perspective, it appears like rape. Who don't know the full story and the associated complexities, it appears like rape. Even if it isn't rape, Viaan looks like a womanizer.
This conclusion came from my experience when I talked to some other platforms like reddit and instagram and some of my friends too
What happened isn't rape because Viaan gave her a choice at the end. There was no external force emotionally or physically involved. There was no blackmail. Its just as Viaan quoted "A Business Transaction '
I don't hate Viaan neither do I love Katha. For me, they are just characters of a fictional show which I love to watch a lot and since it is sensible enough, I like to analyze it as well and mesmerizing by their acting, brilliantly put background music and the complexities of their character.
But, Katha in any way can't be held accountable for ONS. You can't say she hid things from Viaan that's why he gave this offer. Because she was an employee and came to ask loan in office not for a hookup at a bar. This will remain a fact and this will not change with any amount of repentence. But, this doesn't mean we should always criminalize Viaan and use ONS as a trump card. Even makers aren't doing that. But, makers are also not implying that it was Katha's fault that day. So, what is the point of this discussion?
I would be happy to see his public insult.
