💯. It's so bizzare that everyone blamed viaan like he manipulated or raped katha. Everyone blamed viaan as if he knew about aarav and forced katha after that using that. They both were adults and regardless of reasons, it happened consentually. It was wrong of him to ask but he didn't force her hand or manipulate to make her accept. She did it coz she needed the money and yes that is a very good reason but it's still "her need". Anyways at this point, viaan has repented and paid for his part. So people should just stop blaming him. I feel bad for viaan at this point coz katha clearly has not done anything to resolve aarav's misunderstandings on this matter. Yes she is focused on his mental health but she also needs to give him the complete truth.
I don't think anyone at this point is blaming Viaan, and especially for that night. Everyone agrees that Viaan has more than repented for his mistake, and is unnecessary suffering now. But, putting even an ounce of blame for that night on Katha is just victim-blaming and shields the culprit. Yes, she wasn't forced and raped in the strictest, literal sense of the word. And that is why she also admitted that whatever happened that night was consensual and she wasn't forced. But, whether he knew about her kid or not, he had no business asking his female employee to spend a night with him in return for money. That's straight-up sexual harrassment and he should thank his lucky stars he didn't have a MeToo campaign on his hands.
I think it says a lot about Katha that she never ever threw what he did that night back in his face. She had a trump card to use for life if she ever wanted to manipulate or use Viaan. He was guilt-ridden and blind in love, and it would have been ridiculously easy for her to trap him in an unending cycle of guilt and blame and make him dance on her little finger. It was admirable the way she handled the Shamita case, where beyond that one moment when she let her previous opinion cloud her judgment, she was mostly unbiased. She showed him more grace, dignity and mercy than he deserved there. She could have used that opportunity to air her own grievances and tell her story, and Viaan would have been done for life. No one would have cared if Shamita was saying the truth or not. If it were me I probably would have done that. She was under no obligation to give him any chance to redeem or explain himself, or prove that he wasn't a bad man. Who's to say Viaan Raghuvanshi wasn't a habitual sexual offender? He did it with Katha, then got accused of the same with Shamita. There could have been women before them too.
But the situation has changed now, and the punishment should fit the crime. A man should pay only for the mistake he has made. Viaan has paid his due, and should be completely absolved now. Now it's katha who's making a mistake and she should be blamed accordingly. Viaan's conscience is clean now.
