Right from the starting, his upbringing is shown as so problematic.

His mother calls him monkey all the time.

His so called strong independent mother calls him man of the house, who takes every decision of their life.

His mother is obsessed about him.

He himself is obsessed about some random guy robin and plans for hookup with his mother.

He shows off his new papa to his friends.

He just heard about one line about hurting his mother and boom! here goes all his love affection for new papa into thin air.

He instantly find replacement papa and develop same creepy kind of affection for him.

I can go on and on with Aarav's burai. I am so pissed off at him.

Aarav is just like that from the very beginning. Even when Katha was going for ONS, he kind of sense the danger for his mother and refuse to get treatment.

I know that he will create big mess when he is gonna know. But I want full disclosure, not something his mother got hurt. Then it make sense Aarav to get mental issues like depression followed by anger.

What to say, due to mentality like this indian serials don't show their FL flawed. People can't really tolerate even a single mistake by an FL.

I lost my faith in FD when everyone was demeaning, hating and writing horrible things about Katha on twitter because she shouted on Viaan at Grewal house. There was no point in even saying anything when entire mentality is so flawed. Rather just go with the flow. I don't even know what to say. I would say its Viaan's insensitivity and lack of awareness that he didn't understand the gravity of his crimes and thinks that it will fix just like that by being resolute.

And, Katha's reply in dream sequence was not only to Viaan but, audience in general who were completely oblivious to her contributions. If she doesn't get monologues like Viaan then, its your problem that you fail to understand the obvious.

Yes, she is flawed now and I would rather accept to watch this story to see how she fixes or how Viaan fixes her flaws. We saw how Viaan fixed his flaws with subtle guidance from Katha who gave him reality checks. I would like to see role reversal somewhat. I can imagine a very beautiful storyline ahead.

However, writers need to flesh out their flashbacks. Each flashback they show sways the audiences perspective heavily. Many of flashbacks swayed my perspective towards the characters and I can see its effect on twitter too. Aarav is still kind of annoying because he is hard to connect with. I want to feel sympathy for him because he was indeed a very happy and cheerful child and what happened to him. Its really painful to watch.

They are portraying Aarav in a very bad way. Its a bit OTT. But I can understand it as he was never shown as a child grown up in a normal family. He was on the verge of getting a happy family, papa, grand parents, uncles, cousins and everything shattered in a moment. For a small boy, thats too much to bear with.

ONS revelation in front of the whole family and guests, stopping marriage at the last step, hospitalisation, gun shots and so on, many things happened and it was really an ugly scene.

People were discussing ONS, which is a very intimate thing in public and Katha had to defend Viaan in public. Why do people expect Katha will stick to him thereafter?

You just put yourself in that place and think of a single second and I am sure you would like to leave everything and run away from everyone.

And poor Katha can't even run away with Aarav in picture.

Only thing I don't like is Katha is deeply in love with Viaan and getting engaged to Raghav. She is being dishonest to Raghav. She should clear it to Raghav.

Marrying Raghav is not the solution to Aarav's problem. He needs proper therapy and for that katha has to take him away from all these settings, give him professional help and time to heal.

Doctor woh is such a confused character.

He claims to be a psychiatrist and knows that katha is hiding something behind her smile. But he jumped at the opportunity of getting close to her by getting engaged. He didn't care to ask questions at that time. He notices they are not like other normal couples but that doesn't stop him from living with her in the same house.

And Katha devi, inka to kya hi kehna. Not just doctor woh and his daughter, katha is making fool of whole family. How many hearts she will break for fulfilling her brat son's whimsical demands.

Aarav is unhappy because robin hurt his mother but katha didn't even once cared to explain that despite being hurt she forgave robin and she loves him and wants only robin as her life partner. The fact that in the process of protecting his mother now aarav is being the sole reason of hurting his mother will be devastating for him once he realise it.

Confused, shallow and honestly selfish. He is as much taking advantage of Katha as she is taking his. He knew her son was struggling and she was vulnerable and lonely because of it. And had no qualms in taking advantage of this fact to fulfill his family dreams or attraction or whatever it was. He knew Aarav was fond of him and he exploited that to also get close to his mother. Not saying that Katha was not at fault here, but this doctor is so not doodh ka dhula. If he had been some upstanding, moral hero, he would have insisted on them taking some time themselves to build a relationship to see if they had anything in common beyond their kids. If they can work together as a couple or just be nothing but parents.

All the mistakes Katha has made in handling Aarav regarding Viaan are just too numerous to even say here. Honestly, it deserves a separate post. Why she couldn't explain anything to him without talking about ONS is beyond me. She should have strictly told him to not meddle in adults' affairs and to concentrate on his own life. Whatever happened between her and Viaan was her concern and he had no business hating or being angry at anyone. Have no idea how he is able to hold onto such baseless resentment and anger for someone for so long without even knowing the reason.

I toh didn't want him to know anything. I just wished it was katha who took decision of breakup based on many real issues brought up by maaya maasi.

Exactly. There could have been thousands of scenarios and ways to explain this to child but dont know why katha couldn't do this small thing. Waise duniya bhar ka gyan le lo maa bete se.

I don't have a problem with the 3rd person in the story. In the OG also, FL was marrying 3rd time with 3rd person.

But the problem is People already know the end game. It is not a movie where 2nd hero come after interval and he is just there to unite the lead couple. It is a serial and the show should engage people with the conflict that whom Katha will choose at the end.

This Raghav is just there for time pass. He doesn't have unique personality. He look another Eshan to me. Even he recite Viaan's shayari. Katha have 0 interest in him. Naturally people won't have sympathy for Raghav.

I would have prefer another rude person but good with the kid. He would have give reality check to Katha, may be try to get information from Katha, Katha feels a good friend in sharing her problem. Atleast some people would have sided with Raghav as more sensible person for Katha.

At first everyone hated viaan and rightly so but the lengths his character has gone to repent, the depth of his love, the complete change in his personality, everything is just too overwhelming that i guess no one can see anyother person with katha now. Thats why people are so pissed off at katha and hating doctor.

Katha always held Viaan at a distance. And he felt too guilty of what he had done to her that he dare not push her. He supported ALL her decisions. In a normal relationship it's a fine balance of give and take. Here the power equation is always in Katha's favor. Plus ITV has this habit of making soap heroines martyrs and flawless and rigid. I don't get Katha's career change. It made sense for her to work at odd jobs when Aarav was sick. But why can't she go back to her original position? Earthcon wouldn't have blacklisted her.

I can't forgive the Garewals, because Papa G and Yuvraj were throwing tantrums and waving guns about while Aarav was lying traumatised in the next room after just being attended by the doctor.

Death of papa G was just an easy way out of the mess he created.

It would have been more impactful if katha atleast stood up in front of them in viaan's defence or ended ties with them. whole garewal parivar would have realised their mistake at the end

I guess its not about not being able to see flawed FL but its more about not being able to see stupid FL or ML for that purpose.

If it would have been just shouting scene then nobody would have pissed off at katha this much.

She was confused, there was chaos everywhere and viaan was being too imposing at that time, although he had his own reasons and fears for behaving like that, the shouting at that time seems plausible real life like scenario.

The problem started with --

sending viaan to jail

by not coming to meet him,

by not maintaining contact with him,

by not being able to manage even one right occasion with aarav to explain things to him,

By taking him to doctor and not revealing the actual cause of his problem,

By bowing down in front of his stupid demands. For god sake he is just a child, an emotionally disturbed child, one can't take life's important decisions because their depressed child threw a tantrum.

By entering into a relationship where she is not committed fully and fooling whole family of doctor.

By not confronting viaan directly like in imagination scene.
