I think people are missing the point that the Bachcans were obsessed with Aish, the way Jaya spoke about her on KWK, even Shweta. They were all crazy about her. They were super proud of the fact that she was becoming Abhishek's wife like have people forgotten the time around when they were dating/getting married. Literally they could not be happier that their son/bro was marrying Miss World.

Obviously don't know what happened in between but very odd to go from one extreme to another. I think it all boils down to the fact their son still didn't get the boost they thought he would by marrying Aish. And obviously they wanted her to be the trophy wife, I mean it's one thing to say you want the perfect, most beautiful wife for your son but for him to actually marry Miss World - quite literally known as the most beautiful woman in the world. Clearly they liked the tag and prestige, which we know they love and clearly wanted her to represent them and be perfect, just not work. Basically the pretty face and adoring wife.

Aishwarya has even lost some of her looks from marrying into this controlling family. They say that when you are married to someone for a long time, both start to resemble each other physically and this has done no improvements to Aishwarya.

But fans are now acting like Miss World graciously consented to marry into the family for nothing.

Are we all even surprised though? Who in their right mind can even get along with that sour-pussed family. The only thing Shweta inherited from mother dearest is the ability to look like she’s been sucking on a sour lolly for all 7 janams because that’s both mother and daughter’s permanent expression now. Fcccccccuk that.

One point I agree with many people here is that Ash is not damsel in distress. Yes her in laws especially Shwetha seem nasty and I’m sure it must be quite bad to be in the same atmosphere all the time.

But Ash genuinely seems to love Abhishek and of course she wants to give her daughter a good family atmosphere. I’m sure she puts up and sacrificed her career for her husband and her own family life for her daughter.

I don't normally follow this stuff. And knowing Aish was there with her fake wannabe western hello, hi, bye bye pretense is enough to put me off. Then the same woman goes to Western talk shows and insults their culture all in 'defence' of her own. Rather than snarky comments she could give an explanation for her cultural rituals so ppl can understand better.

Keeping her in leading roles now is like dragging a corpse. She's had her hay days, but they're gone now and despite many people not liking her for her acting esp, I'll say I enjoyed her movies, I enjoyed her work. But unnecessarily she's been that actress who went and destroyed her face so for me she can sit on the retirement shelf like Kat and Anushka.

Everyone's fav gets old and is no longer attractuve as they once were. I cannot pretend that Akshay looks the buisness like he once did.

And half the time of she would have matured enough and did not roll her eyes, make faces and throw an attitude in real life, I could have liked her.

As far as this topic goes, the bachans are a tight knit fanily, Big B has akways been loving with her. Aish, has enough attitude in her to give comebacks to Jaya and Shweta. I do personally think there is a lot of internal competition between the siblings and them all . Each time Shweta will win hands down. Even Abi doesn't stand a chance against Shweta. She is the apple of their eye. If at any point theres been an issue between the two ladies, Lord have mercy as there would be nothing worse than a Jaya scorns.

Ppl got to understand they are celebs outside the doors. Indoors they are just a family, with everyday issues, like whose gonna wash the dishes, Jaya, Shweta or Aish! 😂😂

Lol I never said Aish didn't benefit, lol I agree she was freaking proud of winning the bachchan lastname. completely agree that she got the protection and respect due to the name. However, my point is the complete u-turn on the bachchans part from how they were crazy about their bahu to where we are now. if they were always indifferent to her no one would care or give it a second thought after all these years. But the huge change in behaviour is what has caused everyone wonder.

Without a doubt Aish isn't some weak woman, must fight back, which is why the attitude has changed quite a bit. However, you can't deny she definitely isn't as strong as is portrayed either, it could be because she wanted to bend down due to the fact she was getting the lastname. I mean we all know she married a tree to be able to marry into the Bachchan khandaan.
