Ok, genuinely curious, where did she involve herself in her Brother’s marriage? I know she is quite involved with sr. Bachchans. But Abhishek and Aish’s marriage? Any news piece? Any incident link? I would like to read. Thanks.

I think it changed after Aaradhya started growing up. To me, it looks like Ash and older bachchans don’t agree there. Ash sure looks like very involved parent. sometimes over involved in Aaradhya. I mean she holds Aara’s hand when the girl is feeding cake to anyone

Ash is allowed to parent her kid as she wants. Oldies maintain distance and so does Ash. I think it’s mutual. I don’t blame either side. Better to maintain distance than cause stress to each other.

Who knows what goes on behind closed doors, but the lack of support from the Bachchans towards Aishwarya does raise eyebrows. As part of her family I understand why many wish they would put up some post for their daughter in law. However Aish doesn't need it.

Anyway the Bachchans are a patriarchal bunch who will look for their own. The fact remains that Aish is a star in her own right and has made a name for herself by herself, while one of the Bachchans would be where they are if it weren't for AB Sr.

It basically all went down since Shweta decided to move back to Mumbai with her kids.

Its one thing to live with your in laws but whole another to live with in laws, sister in law and her kids.

I am pretty sure aish-abhi probably live separately, thus the cold vibes from patriarchal parents. Mere bete ko dur kar diya types.

he is in Delhi, Shweta moved back for kids "future" in Bollywood .

Now I think there must be a reason why Ash is so protective of Aaradhya as well. There is a lot we don’t know.

The only sad part is Ash threw away her career for this family. I really hope she continues working and does not let go of what she has built

She was stupid. I remember the Letterman interview where she was all about *ideal Indian womanhood.*

She did throw away her career for them. They are clearly patriarchal. And Shweta does seem Jay Jay of Aish.

However, point remains Bachchans were powerful long before Aish came into the picture. People arw claiming Bachchans are who they are because of AB Sr. Yeah. And that one man has enough clout. As for Navya, she is a Kapoor granddaughter as well as having a multimillionaire for daddy.
