I think as Prem and Vidhur were school/ college friends so after marriage Prem introduced Vidhur as friend to Bhoomi and then onwards they also became friends

but you can be also right, maybe Bhoomi also attended college together with them

Only the writters can tell but they aren't even bothered to give us NeiVika scenes , they won't even be in the mood to give all these backstories
