That happens to every actor. In fact, at times DJ's screaming also look out of the place or Anjali's emotional scenes doesn't look that emotional. Not to forget that Neil's character doesn't have a base like dj or yuvika due to which mohit haven't got the chance to grasp the character well.
DJ's screaming felt a bit off in the earlier episodes , but now everyone has improved their acting chops becuse they got that connect with their characters i guess

Mohit is any day a better actor than Anjali-Mahir the way he pulls off Neil with such less screen space & the huge amount of mystery around Neil. 
We deserve to see Neil's journey of falling for Yuvika even if it is love at first second third sight 
Mohit deserves to perform that phase of Neil in order to relate to Neil more. Rishikesh trekking trip flashbacks chahiye Swastik

Neil apni cop ke khabar chupaane ki acting kar Raha hai aur vidur is almost a silent psycho.
Ofcourse they were. Mahir Anjali got more established in their characters because of the screen space they got since day one so they are bound to be good na, compared to that screen space Mohit is doing a commendable job in less screen time & character brief that's what I meant
