Reason akshnav wasn't accepted was because, abhimanyu was wronged too much by akshara and subsequently by abhinav. It was the paternity fraud that akshnav committed which made them unacceptable in public eye. Apart from that there wasn't any fault in their relationship dynamics.

Akshara hid things from abhianav as she used to do with abhimanyu, it was a permanent thing from akshara's side. Trust , equality, consideration for other's feeling , sensitivity to emotions all were incorporated in akshnav. In reality too many couple are like that , who don't have the so called sizzling chemistry(whatever that means.....) or greek god looks for each partner , but function together well for years , without any partner being suffocated.

Comparatively a long peaceful marriage of respect and consideration even without sizzling chemistry sounds better than a marriage full of anger , ego , abandonment with a few seconds of passionate romance.

from the start there was never a couple as in akshnav…several dialogues from Akshara saying we are together for abhir …the only relationship dynamic shown was actually abhir n sbhinsv …the moment sbhimsnyu re enters the scene in kasauli…he takes the spotlight back whether be it dynamics with abhir or well the iconic equation eith Akshara…akshara never stopped loving him …she was hurt n rightfully so n shared that n he apologized…they shouldn’t have stretched it like a chewing gum after that …the equation rapidly changed after Abhimanyu’s accident where akshara couldn’t hide her love any more n then sbhinsv who until now was totally okay being together for sbhir starts saying dialogues like naam ka pati n all …it was as random as changing sbhimsnyu on white day …the only reason I can think of is zama exercising his ego in not accepting that despite all odds they couldn’t really break abhirs whether being it in audience mind or in channels opinion n now it is clear for everyone to see in the message from channel in star parivar awards …Abhinav n akshara were in bff category …although honestly if you ask me they weren’t even bff …but that’s just me
