There is a reason to feel joy if one takes a look at the audience who made Gadar 2 a big success within the borders of India and especially the Hindi belt.
It has to do with relativity. And I think that looking at Gadar 2 relative to its budget and the amount of people who watched it, the result is phenomenal.
But that's it. Nothing less, nothing more.
As for Sunny and Ameesha...how much screentime did they have relative to the impact they had...and that impact had been because of Gadar...
These two movies are like a unity...I think, it's something that never happened in Hindi Cinema before...so, basically, it is of (relatively seen) no importance which movie got supassed in the special area this unity does inhabit...Gadar+Gadar 2 (with a gap of 22 years) have (and will always have) a uniqueness not getting repeated.
Actually, why even bring Pathaan and Jawan into this joy...I feel that it is petty. Both have their own history (very young history) and other conditions...in addition to another space they occupy and other reasons to watch them...
