Production definitely have some direction with regards to Neil's promotion but NeiVika promotion is allowed to a certain limits I guess.

Anjali promotes NeiVika in a limited manner. She holds back because of Neil's character shouldn't get revealed in the process

Sometimes in your captions, in your predictions you unknowingly reveals the plot, if casts shares that, that amounts to giving out spoilers. And even when they shares wrong caption prediction that too gonna amount to misleading fans. That's why casts in many shows are directed to avoid such controversial posts.
