What stupidity is this?? I really really hate celeb worship culture now they started it with SRK?? Incredibly sad. People need to get it together and find something better to do with their time and money. It doesn’t matter how much charity they already do wasting food is not acceptable.

Obviously this - happening in Hyderabad, Telangana's capital and centre of Telugu Cinema - is thought as a sign that South Cinema lovers accept/love SRK as much as one of their megastars.

To me, SRK's position as a pan-Indian star just got a very important 'forward-drive' smiley1

The 'waste' of milk for worshipping - in this case SRK made of cardboard (another 'waste') - when there are needy living beings to feed with, does belong to the world of rituals, not to the world of reasoning smiley2

If it doesn’t have anything to do with common sense then what’s driving these people to do this?? There are so many other ways to celebrate a celebrity than literally worshipping them. Had they given the milk to people or animals I think they’d have made SRK much prouder. This behaviour is not defendable or excusable.

I didn't defend or excuse something...I just explained (and I thought one would get the meaning of "ritual")

Of course, common sense would tell these people (or the person) that SRK is no god...but I know how Indian youth can think about SRK, especially young men...so they perform a certain ritual to show their love for him which makes them see him like a god...

I know, I would not scold them but would tell them: "SRK would prefer that you give the milk to those needing it - out of love for him." ...and they would do it.

ardent fan of SRK but definitely don’t support this kind of celebration, it’s sheer wastage.
