Remind me never to take any empowerment shizz that women do on this forum seriously from here on. Shameful, the lot of you. Trolling is one thing (I should know, I troll, I'm not innocent at all), but this blatant name calling and branding someone a wh*ore, been around the block and other names is downright disgusting. What's more, these are all women doing this shit ffs.
Denying the affair is alright. You can run circles around defending your favourite saying there is no hard evidence. I've nothing against it.
But you lot are actually defending the creepy behaviour by Shahrukh towards women and calling it "loving", "harmless flirting" and "charming". But why is a 50+ year old geezer flirting with actresses more than half his age off screen? Show me one another male actor in BW who does this crap and gets away with it because it's "flirting"? Which other A list actor is out there behaving like this?
If it is his brand, then find a better brand. Find a better way to relate to the audience. Let's reverse the roles, shall we? Let's have a female actor in her 40s - 50s pulling this so called "flirting" with young male actors in the industry. Y'all would be so fast to label her a creep. And rightfully so, because this behaviour should not be tolerated from anyone, male or female. If any man/woman does this anywhere IRL, they'd be beaten black and blue.
And this one user who is going on about "holding an 18-20 year old" accountable, what about a 40-50 year old geezer? Don't you wanna hold them accountable as well? Repeatedly saying that you would hold an 18 year old accountable, when you very well know that it's not about the legality of age or being held accountable. It's about questioning why a 40 or a 50 year old needs to "flirt" with an 18 year old in the first place? It's been repeatedly spelt for you, yet you ignore it. Would you approve a 30 year old flirting with an 18 year old? Is that it?
Men in power with privilege hold unnatural power over women and in general people that work below them. It may not seem so because a certain celebrity is charming and what not. But when a superior is misbehaving and engaging in inappropriate behaviour, most women and actresses go along with it so as not to upset them or lose their career, as fcked up and stupid that sounds. Them going along with the antics does not mean they are comfortable or approve of it. Of course veteran actresses hold the power to call it out. But that's not always the case. It's not even about PC. It's about Shahrukh's "flirting" that everyone takes so casually. Whoever's defending his behaviour here please take a hard look at yourselves and question what it is that you're doing.
