Thought I'd summarize today's episode (this is in no way a well written, coherent summary of the episode) as I have time to kill and got absolutely nothing better to do.
Episode starts with Vikrant narrating his flawless plan to frame Anjali, to Anjali's corpse, while deleting their pictures from Anjali's phone. Look at our multitasking king.
He tells her how he plans to frame her of running away with money she stole from the school and how no one will bat an eye on her disappearance.
He basically radiated this energy
However, that was all a flashback that came back to him when he saw Puru with Anjali's phone. Duniya hi ruk gayi uski. Itna bada serial killer about to be exposed because of a kid. Kya izzat reh jayegi serial killers ke saamne Vikku ki.
Vikrant on spotting Anjali's phone with Puru be like
Oblivious to this, Kirti is busy poking holes in Vikrant's story using logic. She refuses to belive Anjali ran away after cheating the school out of 4 lakh rupees. Fair point tbh, 4 lakh mein kya hi nayi life start kar legi woh. Vikrant, kya gunda banega re tu, 40 lakh toh bol deta atleast.
Vikrant tries to befriend Puru to get the phone from him before anyone notices but Puru is not having it. Puru doesn't like hot serial killers it seems. Itne mein Kirti mentions Anjali's boyfriend and this catches Vikrant's attention. Bechara Vikku be like
While a little back and forth happens between Kirti and Vikrant, you know what, scratch that, basically Kirti channelises her inner Kokila Modi and sees Gopi in Vikrant. Rich hone pe bhashan de daala, I mean rightly so, drag his ass but for being a homicidal maniac. His money got nothing to do with it miss. Anywho, a constable and Vikrant's own staff suggest they go through Anjali's call records to see who she was last in touch with, sort of like a starting point to the investigation. Vikku needs better team members, iski team isko out karwayegi. Also, is my moral compass broken that I'm cheering for a psychopath?
Vikrant, like us, realises shit is about to get real because of Kirti and Puru's involvement
Next we see Vikrant meet his Undertaker aka the creepy cab driver. That idiot has no idea uska kya hone wala hai. Apna creepy cabbie gets tortured a little and gets warned of consequences if he messes up again. Nothing eventful there.
We then see Kirti with her Bua. Bua chides her for being rude to Vikku. I totally side with Bua ji. Do not anger murderous lunatics. Baaki nothing major happens, time fill karna hai toh they do a bit which has no connection to the story. Skip kar dalo ye scene.
Iske baad folks, we see Kirti twirl into Vikrant's open arms! Why you ask? Kudrat ka karishma. Ye hona hi tha. Had this been real life, she'd be hugging the floor but reel life hai, a charming psychopath is awaiting with open arms to steady her. I wanna say this is dreamy but my sanity doesn't allow for it.
Vikrant apologises to Kirti for his unfortunate timing with the police report. He says he gets her worry about her best friend. Kirti apologises too for snapping at him and then declares he has no option but to forgive her kyuki he ought to have made mistakes in his life too. This woman! Dekho people this is how you apologise. Demand the other person has no alternative to accepting the apology unless they are a literal saint. She has such a way with words, no wonder she hasn't sold many books. Not at all surprised.
BTW Vikrant can definitely moonlight as an actor. Kid you not, had we not been shown his true colors. I'd definitely buy his 'I really hope Ms. Anjali comes back soon' act. Everyone else eats it up quick and heap praises of what a nice chap he is.
Phupha ji's mata ji aka buaji ki saasuma can't stop praising Vikrant and goes on to exclaim how Sarkaar Senior aka Serial Killer ke Papaji would've been proud of the man his lad has become. I can't wait for Dadiji to find out the truth.
The fam mentions that Vikrant has written a book as an ode to his dad. Kirti's book gets mentioned and Vikku and Kirti discuss her book. Bua ji tries to get Kirti to share her book with Sarkaar but she is sure it aint his cup of tea. Why? Because her book starts with romance and ends in murder. She believes Sarkaar is into neither of those things. If only she knew. Murder sunte hi Vikrant generates newfound interest in Kirti's book lol.
At the house, Vikku spots Puru again and his eyes are glued to the phone that can possibly lead him to jail.
Next, we see the Police inspector cracking unfunny jokes with a doctor. His constable tells him that Anjali's phone was active in their area the previous evening but remained so only for a couple of seconds. They also get to know that Anjali never visited the hospital earlier that day. Idk what relevance this has.
At Kirti's place, Vikrant unsuccessfully tries to get his hands on the phone. Iska kya hoga? Pro at killing and sucks at stealing. How can he be so skilled at killing people yet can't steal a damn phone?
Vikrant's inner voice probably be like :
Amidst his multiple failed attempts at stealing the phone, the phone turns on and the constable gets notified of the same. Itna fast kaise ye na pucho!
Before Sarkar can finally get the phone, Puru swoops in no surprises here, Vikrant can't steal the phone once again.
Precap : Police let Kirti and her folks know that Anjali's phone did turn on. The phone is now with Vikrant who is riding around with it, trying to deceive the police who are following the cell towers pinged by the phone.
And that's it folks. Bohot mehanat ho gayi.
