Look, Alia is not a bad actor, but she's not half as good she and KJo think she is. She's certainly not the *quintessential* Bollywood heroine with the sexy looks and dance moves. Honestly, audience has come to expect her to carry a film on her own, with only her acting chops and a good script. She really should capitalize on that instead of running after an image she's never going to fit.

Also, quit competing with Deepika. She's never going to beat Deepika in her strengths and only makes the insecurity glaringly obvious.

Deepu was stiff in Lovely but Alia would’ve looked like a teenage clown if she tried to do pole dancing. Deepu can be sensual. Tell Alia to even try her walk, in that Cocktail Angreji Beat song. Again, she can’t.

Even Besharam Rang was nice. If Alia did it it would’ve been called Bekar Rang.

I don’t think she is going after a dancer image not sure where that is coming from but To kya kare dance karna chhod de?? If script / movie demands she will do it - she is as good or bad as DP, Kiara, sanon, Sara, Ananya , Kareena - as simple as that why such demand from her only?? And not other actresses

Regarding insecurities - It’s pretty much other way round DP’s PR has done a good job spreading the narrative other way round
