Closing and reopening a thread is not a solution.

That’s not the point. Plus you asked them to close it as well and then it was closed but still that’s not the point. The point is posts that were going against the rules should have been deleted. Had the CC completed normally then no problem. Here the CC was cleaned up and a DT note was placed.

My whole issue is that the CC didn’t complete with the usual chatting as even quiet chaos and other members pointed out. So in my opinion what is the purpose to have rules ? And why do we even post the rules ? As a CC team member I post rules not because I just want to paste and copy them but because their is a purpose. Otherwise, we can do just whatever we want and why close the CC at a certain page why not let it go till 200 pages or let it be never ending.

Let me address this point first and then I'll post another note separately.

It wasn't that we didn't want to clean up the CC 108, it's that by the time any of us came online the CC was already over. So we locked it down and did some noting down of problems, but we didn't clean it.

We never are about not cleaning a thread, but if things go haywire and we aren't around, then we typically just lock the thread down when we do come online.

DT NOTE

This is another reminder that this thread is a Chat Club. That doesn't mean that you can break rules in this CC. Several CCs back we reminded everyone that political and religious discussions are not allowed in this forum, CC included. Yet, the whole religious and political discussions are back.

If you cannot follow basic rules in the CC, then maybe this forum will have to do without a CC going forward. Do not take this warning lightly. We are not above completely getting rid of the CC in this forum.

From this note forward, if we see any future political or religious posts, then we will take severe action against the offenders and if the CC as a whole continues to break such rules, then we will lock down and remove the CC from this forum completely.
