Good actors will showcase their talents even if the scenes are limited and she has got better offers than many other non-Nepo actors. She isn't a bad actress but I haven't been impressed by her even in her limited scenes. She hasn't got the screens on fire.

Btwn isn't highway produced by Sajid Nadiadwala? How is it related to Karan Johar? And isn't it the same production house that made Heropanthi, Kirti's first lead role in Bollywood?

Its difficult mostly when you have such powerful men like Kjo at the helm & also Aditya chopra.

Kriti was almost going to be written off but thankfully she did Luka chuppi & bareily ki barfi. Those movies were good, not super duper hit but people liked it as they found relatable specially bareily ki barfi.

There were rumours that kartik & kriti were not on talking terms as kriti got upset that he received all the love & attention for Luka chuppi although both played their parts well. Kartik was on a roll that time.

Before these 2 movies Kriti did movies but mostly were ensemble ones including Dilwale which flopped & also people were more interested in SRK &kajol & not in kriti & varun.

Inspite of all these hurdles, she did really well for herself..much much better than jahnvi, ananya

hmm... You are right. She is doing better compared to many n kids and usually these things are underappreciated. I haven't watched Luka chuppi so can't say about that show. Kartik I feel is more overrated than Kriti. He is bang average.

But, still, I feel Aliya isn't that bad as much as she gets criticized.

If you look at alia's career graph it's obvious it's well planned. She is lucky that shraddha can't act else she would have had a hard competition from shraddha. She is prettier and very likeable offscreen and don't come off as a bimbo like other star kids. The general public loves her even with minimum acting skills. Imagine the craze if she also had acting chops.

Alia's PR and kjo not just bring her the best scripts but they also take out her competitions. Parineeti was constantly pit against Alia in kwk with all celebrities taking Alia over parineeti which at that time looked as fake as possible because parineeti had proven herself more than Alia at that time. Then when shraddha started gaining popularity a lot of negative publicity was spread against her and to kjo's luck shraddha isn't that good of an actress. Now Deepika is the only one above Alia in Bollywood and there is constant comparison.

From all the movies the only two roles that really fitted her and she acted well were raazi and darling.

She mightn't have got a role with Firey Screenspace but she hasn't impressed me in even in limited scenes. I doubt she will do better with rage. Although it's just my opinion. @Bold: This is a relative term. I don't consider her hotter than Aliya and I don't see her screen presence as much as Aliya.

Even in Bareilly ki Barfi, she was overshadowed by the two other actors and I never find her having great chemistry with both actors.

Even Deepika initially was limited. She got more offers and later improved on them. She only got better after Cocktail.

Nope of them are good actors.

Ek hoti hai star power aur ek hoti hai acting. In young lot of BW, they lack both.

I don't feel kriti is over rated but kartik definitely is.. still dislike him for the misogynistic roles he did.

If Kriti starts picking up more good roles like Mimi and all she will be able to showcase her talent more. That's what I said in an earlier comment...she did not had a choice unlike alia who had always people to back. If alia doesn't like something she has the luxury & liberty to reject it. Kriti or any other outsider didn't have that. If they do so they will be hounded by top bosses and blind items will be written about them saying they are unprofessionals which exactly happened with SSR and then kartik.

Not everyone has the luck to get good opportunities at the right time.
