Both performances were not national award worthy so it's fine if it got divided 😆. Compared to kriti's experience she did well in Mimi. She is an outsider who mostly only get flowerpot roles and still she did that well in Mimi and the entire movie was carried by her. Gangubai had SLB helming it. He is capable of making anyone act well.

I find Aliya better than kriti. She can be an outsider, but she is not a good actress. Same for Karthik Aryan.

Has kriti ever gotten the kind of opportunities and directors like Alia to show her acting skills? Alia was plain bad in soty and still got highway due to kjo whereas mimi is the only role with substance kriti has gotten in a career of 8-9 yrs and she did well and carried that entire movie on her own. Karthik Aryan got some intense roles like dhamaka and Freddy and he still was just passable.

Even after Mimi kriti still isn't getting that many good projects and still has to do flower pot roles.

The only reason Alia looks good is because her contemporaries are below average and she is average.

Btwn isn't highway produced by Sajid Nadiadwala? How is it related to Karan Johar? And isn't it the same production house that made Heropanthi, Kirti's first lead role in Bollywood?

Kjo told imtiaz to take Alia in highway. His first choice was parineeti as at that time parineeti was well appreciated for her acting. If you have noticed kjo used to ask parineeti or Alia who is better to all his guests in kwk.

Kriti definitely looks better in glamorous roles than Alia. Even in those hot and gorgeous sarees in rrkpk Alia didn't look anywhere near hot.

Kriti never got any role to put the screen on fire. Most of her movies only require her to look pretty, dance well and have chemistry with the ml. Acting is the least of the concern. Also after Deepika and Priyanka no actress is there to put the screen on fire with their aura and starpower. Kriti also don't look that sensual or hot but definitely hotter and more attractive than Alia. Bollywood really likes stunning female actresses with amazing screen presence.

Also Alia always had the backing of Kjo no matter what. Kriti had no one. Kjo behaves as if Alia is his child.

So it's due to the director. No doubt about Pareenti being a better actor.

She mightn't have got a role with Firey Screenspace but she hasn't impressed me in even in limited scenes. I doubt she will do better with rage. Although it's just my opinion. @Bold: This is a relative term. I don't consider her hotter than Aliya and I don't see her screen presence as much as Aliya.

Even in Bareilly ki Barfi, she was overshadowed by the two other actors and I never find her having great chemistry with both actors.

Even Deepika initially was limited. She got more offers and later improved on them. She only got better after Cocktail.
