Very well summed up. I think it has been a deliberate choice from the makers to change the character and family dynamics with each generation.
When the show first started, they pitched it as a positive family drama amongst all the other high voltage soaps running at that time....but over time, the makers and channel themselves seem to have moved away from the core message of the show and don't seem to have confidence that they can sell those kind of family bonds anymore.
They were still ok with the Naira generation cuz she was shown as a strong character unto herself who could survive even without family support even if she did value family support too. But the current Ak is just a lost character on every level.....family support is non-existent in this generation for both the leads....the families are only used for showing reactions or to create half-baked MUs. They literally serve no other function in the show right now.....lol but makers clearly feel this is the only way to sustain the show so they will keep going with it.
Right now what Rishta has is the FACADE of family....but then again, that is exactly what the rest of ITV is doing too😆....they have simply fallen in line with most of what is already going on in ITV.
Yeah, pretty much. Now the only thing left is that the actors are good.

It was like all the noise from Udaipur is gone here, but also all the fun and laughter isn't there. Ofcourse then the makers themselves got invested in happy perfect family so they showed a lot of happy moments, but there is really no reason why those moments cannot exist in Udaipur and they are basically nothing compared to Abhira happy moments. LOL this exactly.....this show is pitched as a show about big joint families and people fighting to keep their big families together. The entire Kasauli chapter is nothing other than a mirage....a mirage of peace, a pretension that this is a real family when it is actually built upon the premise of lying and hiding real identities....lol...how is it real peace then? You are simply buying time for yourself by running away from the truth of your relationships.
Ak thought she had found peace cuz she found a guy who literally had no interest in who she was as a person beyond what she said to him in the present....who didn't have any interest in knowing what her actual family and past was about.....she let him presume it was some abusive past when reality is she ran away from a moment of tragedy and crafted a fantasy for her kid by presuming the truth will never come calling.
She built her peace on the ashes of someone else's grief....by letting someone else grieve for their child for 6 years while she built a whole new world with that very child. How was it peace then? It was escapism.
For 6 years, she stayed away from her family, lived with a man who took ignorance is bliss to another level😆, scrambled to hide her child's real father's identity from him.....how is this happy family then? If we all run away from our problems, then we can all build temporary "happy families"....but there is no real peace if you are living your life on the basis of a lie.

LOL thank you....I don't consider Ak to be an angel but I don't consider her to be a devil either😆
She is a very flawed person whom I pity in many ways for her inability to understand the vicious cycle that repeats due to her lack of self-reflection.
Where is she after 6 years of hiding from the truth? Back in front of the very guy she was dying to conceive a child with and then herself rejected his fatherhood 😆.....now they are left managing a son who doesn't consider his real father his Papa and is mourning the stepfather his mom propped up for him😆
