This is one thing i dont think she is faking.

they clearly had trouble with money growing up, so she is stingy now. Though she does need to dial it down a bit.

Might be a lukkha. There was an article about how amirta had to work hard post divorce to provide for her children. Sara was probably 11 and Ibrahim was 4 when they divorced.

It was a bitter ending but now it seems they are cordial.

May be when her mother struggled after her divorce she realised money's worth because Saif wasn't rich like other khans to give huge alimony. Good amount of money also went to get back pataudi palace so he may be under loan obligation hence his net worth would be less so less alimony.

In start of her career too there was some pics of her n her mom shopping from local market.

Her mother too was a successful film actress married to actor n nawab n son of famous cricketer n actress n seeing her struggling in middle age must have made impression on her young mind to save every single penny for tough times.

Later she realised it's good PR tactic n started overdoing it like ranveer Singh's gaudy dresses.
