That also is a reason why I dislike these number games...that I prefer to look at the footfalls.

Many years ago, before the big Multiplexes came into the play, a loved movie ran for many months so that interested people could watch it even with clashes.

With ticket prices getting more & more higher because of inflation, new currencies, higher dispenses, higher comfort cinemas etc higher crore-amounts are a given.

In my thinking, the audience's reaction is what counts and it shows that Gadar2 is one of the strongest boi-movies made in Hindi cinema in recent times... and it seems to match the Gadar footfalls, right? (It's such a joy to read about the "housefull" placards).

if u bring footfalls then there is only king 👑

More than money, Gadar2 has succeeded to bring tremendous footfall, which was something I have never even thought, not sure many did here either.

I mean a comparatively low budget movie that is a sequel of another movie (albeit blockbuster at that time) released when I was...like 8 or 9 😆.

Today i watched gadar 2 in multiplex It was housefull. Movie is good but much of my experience was ruined by a group of men who were talking with each other n laughing loudly on each n every scene be it emotional or action. N hooting of some people also was very loud. I just hate these over enthusiastic disturbing type of audience. Becoz of them, i couldn't hear some dialogues of the film.

I know what you mean. I remember my experience of watching Andhadhun in India. The people sitting behind me revealed the entire spoilers before they happened. So I already knew Ayushmann was not blind. Tabu was going to flick that woman down the building etc and etc. it was so annoying but at the same time funny. Coming to this movie,it is giving a high to people and looks like most of them are going to get that high not to actually hear the dialogues or focus on the story. Just Tara Singh ko dekh ke hi pagal horahe hai log. 🤣

#Gadar2 is doing such unprecedented business that too in a CLASH [ 4000 screens with divided shows ] despite that it will go close to ₹ 500 cr & can surpass this figure too. Though media will not highlight this fact, reasons known best to them.Made on a budget of 65 cr, Gadar-2 is the BIGGEST BLOCKBUSTER of Hindi cinema in last two decades in India. This is a Fact , no matter how much flak is receive on this post. #SunnyDeol

honestly, the director made those scenes a bit over melodramatic which is making people not take them seriously. For ex, I was cringing and laughing when Sakeena was crying and hallucinating about Tara Singh. And the entire Jeete track was super cringe and lolworthy.

Well, cinema experience isn't always what one wants...you can get your undisturbed watching experience at home...later...much later...(but be aware...it could be boring 😉)
